Did you know that Peaches are grown in Florida and are in season NOW?

Not only can you pick them up at grocery stores in the area, but you can also find them at farmer’s markets.

Well I recently got an education on Florida Peaches, and I am completely sold on the flavor of this fruit grown in my home state.

Of course, I am excited for the opportunity add more variety of fresh fruit into my kiddos diets.

Florida tree-ripened peaches are the perfect size for school lunches or afternoon snacks and are available late-March through May.

Plus, I can feel great that they are eating a food that is rich in vitamin A and C, contains antioxidants, is a great source of fiber, plus it lowers cholesterol naturally due to naturally occurring beta-carotene.

My children don’t realize they are eating healthy, but they sure did get excited when I turned a peach into a sweet warm weather treat along with fresh blueberries.

Check out my Homemade Popsicle Recipe Made With Florida Peaches and Blueberries below!

What You Will Need:

1 Ripe Florida Peach

1/2 Cup of Blueberries

1/2 Cup of Milk

3/4 Cup Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt

6 Slot Popsicle Mold

Tip: I use the IKEA BPA Free Popsicle Molds for my Freezer Pops.

Directions:

First peel and chop the Florida Peach into small pieces (will be around a 1/2 cup). Then, completely combine the Yogurt and Milk in a bowl.

Next, add 1 teaspoon of the mix to each of the Popsicle Molds. Then, add equal amounts of the chopped peach.

Again, add 1 teaspoon of the milk and yogurt mixture on top of the peaches in the mold.

Then, add 5 to 6 blueberries and pour the remaining mixture on top until the containers are completely filled.

Tip: Lightly tap the molds in the holder to get any air out. You may need to add more mixture after this settles.

It is then time to add the tops to the molds and place them in the freezer for at least 3 hours.

When they are ready, you will have a colorful treat that is filled with fruit and “better for you” ingredients.
