Colorful Pasta Salad Made With Vegetables and Salad Supreme Recipe

I actually got a special request to prepare this dish for Easter and I get this request pretty often for family get togethers.  It is a really simple pasta salad recipe with vegetables and it looks wonderful. Plus, the kids will eat this, and since it has Veggies, Cheese, and Olive Oil in it, I’m glad they like something that is healthy! What is also awesome is, many of the ingredients were either Buy One Get One Free or on sale at Publix.

Colorful Pasta Salad Made With Vegetables and Salad Supreme Recipe

So, here is what you need for Colorful Pasta Salad Made With Vegetables and Salad Supreme:

Ingredients:

1 lb of Rotelle or Rotini Pasta Cooked

1 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 cup of Italian Dressing

1/2 cup of Olives chopped into 3rds

1/2 cup of Cherry or Grape Tomatoes chopped into 4ths

1 Large cucumber chopped into 4ths

3 Mozzarella Cheese Sticks Reduced Fat chopped into small pieces

3 tbsp of McCormick Salad Supreme

Directions:

So to start, I usually boil the pasta in advance and put it in the fridge so it is chilled.  I happen to do this first thing when I got up, and then used it about 3 hours later.

Once I am ready to use the pasta, I add the tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and stir to separate the pasta. After that I add the 1 cup of Italian Dressing and stir.

Then, I chopped up the vegetables and cheese.

Adding the cucumbers.

I add each to the Rotini Pasta one at a time and stir.

Can’t see the cheese but added it, and adding the Olives.

Adding the Tomatoes.

This will be what it looks like right before you add the 3 tbsps of McCormick Salad Supreme and mix. Then, Refrigerate after.

As you can see it is a very colorful Pasta Salad with nice texture.  It would be perfect for family reunions, parties, Bar-B-Ques and most family get togethers. See my other Pasta Dishes!

Hi! I actually make one similar to this that everyone loves! In mine, I use FF Zesty Italian Dressing, I don't put tomatoes (I don't like them, lol), but, I do put mini sliced pepperoni. I've never used Olive Oil though. I try to keep mine as low fat as possible. I do use cheese, usually block, like cracker barrel, and I also sprinkle Parmesan Cheese in it as well. I also used the tri-colored pasta noodles. LOVE that Salad Supreme Seasoning though!

I have been making this for at least 20 years LOL, I remember my mom making it when i was a teen and the salad supreme seasoning is a must LOL. I however don't use the cheese in it and I do brololli, caul, black olives i keep them whole though, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, I do prefer it with the tri colored noodles. Whenever we have a family get together I make this and when we threw our daughter her open house grad party it was a big hit.

I work in a supermarket deli, and this once of our best selling salads. I make my oxen at home, and I add chopped bell pepper, celery, shredded carrot , and whatever cheese I have leftover. I use cheddar, swiss, mozzarella, whatever is available. This tastes even better the second day. Love it.

Safia, visit http://www.mccormick.com/Spices-and-Flavors/Herbs-and-Spices/Blends/Perfect-Pinch-Salad-Supreme-Seasoning and it will tell you what is in Salad Supreme. Hopefully this can accomplish close to the original flavor.

My mom makes this pasta but without the olive oil and the salad seasoning. We add sliced broccoli, carrots, celery, bell peppers, and cauliflower to get lots of veggies in! I've tweaked it a little bit by cutting up chicken breast into bite sized pieces and marinating it in the salad dressing before frying it and adding it to the pasta. My husband and I polish off the bowl ourselves O_o I love cucumbers so I will add them the next time I make this!

I love pasta salad and make it often in the Spring and Summer! I discovered the secret to an even better tasting salad! After you've cooked and drained the pasta, pour some of your salad dressing (but not too much) and stir while it's still hot. The pasta sucks up all that dressing making it more flavorful and keeps the pasta from sticking together! I also marinade the veggies while the pasta is chilling. Ya it's pasta salad time!

I use a little of the salad oil, itself rather than the olive oil to separate it. And I like red & green pepper, Bermuda onion & tomatoes and if I have any cooked chicken I add that, as well. Cuc & celery if I have it. We call it "clean out the fridge pasta". Sometimes some salsa and the next day when it looks dry I add some V8. I keep small cans of V8 in stock and use it as an ingredient in things.

this is the best VEGIE salad. Try it, you will make it again and again. Add any VEGIE to it that you like, I put some broccoli florettes and radishes or red pepper for color.

Im sure any variation of this recipe is good. I just love pasta salad. Depending on how much I make, I use one 1/2 to 3/4 bottle of Salad Supreme, any Italian dressing that I can find (Wish-Bone is my fave) , chopped pepperoni, chopped black olives, diced green peppers, quartered cherry tomatoes, quartered, thick cucumber slices, and Kraft Three Cheese Crumbles (this is easier than cutting the cheese yourself... plus, I like my cheese bigger than shredded & smaller than cubes) I don't use onions (can't tolerate them ) but I do use onion powder instead. My girls LOVE this. My hubby and son don't like half of the veggies in this recipe, so that's more for us girls!

While I do a lot of healthy cooking and baking (esp. the later), I've always felt a little out of the loop at gatherings such as potlucks, BBQs, and so on. I don't have even ONE recipe like this. Not one! I've wondered (particularly before Pinterest was around :p ), "Where do these people even get these beautiful recipes? They're not all the same. And they're DEFINITELY not Suddenly Salad." ...I've generally brought a dessert to pass around. :) Thanks for the recipe! I'm going to be Pinning it, and hopefully making it soon!
