This summer my children have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the film Minions, which hits theaters this Friday July 10th.
Between the commercials and my toddler saying BA-NA-NA, I can pretty much guarantee that we will be seeing this film within the next week.
Of course I like to create crafts or foods to entertain my kids and Movie Characters are a great way to find inspiration.
Now if I had to represent STUART, KEVIN, and BOB with something edible, I would immediately think of banana and blueberries. Banana is obvious and blueberry would be the closest thing I could get to duplicating Blue Jean Overalls.
I decided to put this idea into action when I created Banana and Blueberry Freezy Pops. This fruity dessert is simple to make and only requires 2 fresh ingredients.
If you would like to recreate this treat, details are below.
Banana and Blueberry Freezy Pops Inspired By Minions, Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 Cup of Mashed Ripe Bananas (I used 2 Bananas)
1/2 Cup of Fresh Blueberries Pureed
Directions:
1st pour the mashed bananas into the Popsicle holder 1/2 to 3/4 of the way. Then fill it up the rest of the way with the pureed blueberries.
Place the containers into the freezer for a minimum of 3 hours (or until set) and then serve.
You then will have a pop that is yellow on the top and blue on the bottom, just like a Minion. Plus it has their favorite ingredient, BA-NA-NA!
