I must admit that when I told my kids I was making my Sausage and Broccoli Skillet Recipe they got excited. My little guy was like “YEAH SAUSAGE!”.

Sausage and Broccoli Skillet Recipe, Comfort Food for My Family!

Today I am going to share a meal that I have made for my family on numerous occasions.

This tends to be my Go To comfort food because it is not only is it easy to make, but all my kiddos will eat it.

When I was at the SAM’S the other day I found a 3 pack of Hillshire Farm Polska Kielbasa 16 oz portions and decided to pick it up because I knew I would put it to good use.

I already had rice and frozen broccoli on hand along with all the essential ingredients needed to put my skillet meal together.

Directions:

To get started, first add 1 Tbsp of Olive Oil to a skillet and move to the medium setting. Then chop up the sausage into thin pieces and add to the pieces to the skillet.

Next, prepare one cup of White rice in 2 Cups of Chicken Broth according to the packaging. Then, once the Sausage if browned, stir in the frozen broccoli. Move to the low setting and cover.

Stir occasionally until the broccoli cooks through (8-10 minutes). Once the rice is ready, add in 1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/4 tsp of garlic powder, and stir.

To finish, either add the rice to the sausage mix and combine or serve separately. It is then ready to serve.

If you are looking for an item to serve along side this Sausage and Broccoli Skillet Recipe, let me recommend my Strawberry Bacon Salad.

Now I will tell you that the serving size of the Sausage was 8, but my family went back for seconds so there were no leftovers. Plus, I normally use just the Turkey, but this time I just picked up the regular Polska Kielbasa.

I hope your family enjoys this recipe just as much as mine does, be sure to add the recipe to your collection below!

Oh this recipe looks so good! And easy for school nights too. I have a similar kielbasa recipe with potatoes instead of rice!
