Zucchini Noodles Recipe! A Flavorful Dish That My Kids Will Eat!

Zucchini Noodles Recipe

I had eaten thin slices Zucchini at a restaurant not too long ago and it gave me an idea to slice the Zucchini even thinner to make a noodle like dish.  I tried it out once and it was a hit with my kids, so I did it again with the same results.

I decided to call this side, Zucchini Noodles.

Zucchini Noodles Recipe

If you would like to recreate this dish, you will need:

2 Zucchinis Shredded

1 tbsp of Olive Oil

1/4 tsp of Garlic Powder

1/8 tsp of Onion Powder

1/4 tsp of Salt

The dish serves around 4 to 5 people.

Zucchini Noodles Recipe

First shred the zucchini with a peeler and use the skin as well. (Be careful not to cut to close to your hands) Add all of this to a pan.  FYI, I end up with a middle piece of Zucchini and the kids like to eat this raw.

Next, add the Olive Oil, Garlic, Onion, and Salt. Stir and cook this on Medium Heat for around 7 minutes. Move to low until ready to serve.

That is all its takes to make this dish, and it cooks up quick. I also like it because it is yummy, a vegetable, and my kids gobble it up.

I also think they like the idea of eating “Zucchini” Noodles.

Do you make a similar dish?  If so, do you add any additional ingredients?

If you try this out, let me know what you think.

These look good. My husband is diabetic so we don't eat much pasta, this is a great alternative. I use Zucchini as pasta noodles in lasagna and it taste so good!

I think my kids would stick up their noses, unless they finally gave it a try. I haven't ever tried veggie noodles.

We've never tried zucchini like that. I bet shaved in the same manner it would make an awesome slaw!

What a creative way to eat zucchini. Oddly enough, my kids will eat zucchini slices raw and they like them cut up and sauteed as well. I think we'll be giving zucchini noodles a try really soon. Thanks for this idea! I'm trying to get my kids to eat more veggies.

I've never done zucchini noodles, per se, but we make a similar dish with thinly sliced zucchini, fresh garlic, and some tomatoes sauteed together.

I wasn't a fan of Spaghetti squash so this might make a great pasta alternative for me. I need to eat healthier.
