OK Mom, You Are Embarrassing Me!
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to see my son off to 1st Grade this morning.
It seems like it was just the other day that we brought him home from the hospital. Seeing my newest little guy reminds me of that even more because there is such a size difference, and it just goes to show how fast childhood can pass you by.
However, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy either. He was getting pretty bored, and he really needs the stimulation from school. He is such a little sponge and really enjoys learning about new things. I also know he really missed all of his buddies, and I pretty much ran out of energy to entertain towards the end of the summer with being pregnant and also having the baby.
My husband said he had the biggest smile when he went into the classroom this morning, and even though he said he wasn’t going to (because he is a big boy), he gave Dad a big kiss and hug. We must be doing something right. 🙂
