I seem to always have plenty of Health related supplies for my kids, but when my husband and I start coming down with a cough or cold and flu symptoms, we are usually lacking the proper “stay healthy” necessities.

Recently I was getting ready to take a trip out-of-town and thought it best to do my organizing and cleaning of my medicine cabinet for winter and also make a run to my local Walgreens to stock up on Pfizer Products.

Best to be prepared, especially when a cold front was coming in and Hubby would be home alone with 3 kids.

Before I left the house to shop, I looked at expiration dates on items that we already had, checked to see what else we needed, and then loaded my Walgreens Balance Rewards Card with coupons for Advil, ChapStick, Emergen-C, and Robitussin.

FYI, you can also find these same coupons through a booklet at the front of store labeled “November Savings Book” in a section called Wellness Solutions. You can save up to $10 on select Pfizer products, good through November 26, 2014.

During my visit, I found everything that I needed in and around the Cold and Flu Aisle. At check out, I gave the cashier my Balance Rewards Card information and my discounts were taken right there at the register.

When I got home I totally emptied out my Medicine Cabinet, put everything back in neat and organized, and I then added in my new supplies.

It felt good to know I was leaving my husband well stocked with Healthcare Products and with ways to find relief from any potential illnesses. Having Peace of Mind makes travel much more enjoyable.

Do you do a Winter Cleaning of your Medicine Cabinet? What supplies do you purchase for potential adult illnesses?

Want to take advantage of these savings? Be sure to visit or pick up your own booklet at a Walgreens location nearby or visit Wellness Solution to add the coupons to your Walgreens Balance Rewards Card.

Thankfully everyone was well while I was away, but I am so glad that I went ahead and organized and prepared my medicine cabinet for the upcoming winter season.

I really need to organize our medicine cabinet. Thanks for the inspiration! Luckily, we haven't had had too many cold bugs hit our home, but it won't be long, for sure!

This is a very timely post for me because a cold just made it's way around my family and I noticed my medicine cabinet needed help. I can always use a coupon for Chap Stick since mine always get lost. Thanks!

Our cabinet (actually a closet) is so unorganized. We have different medicines in different baskets, so that helps some. But it still takes a while to find anything!

No, I don't go through my Med closet-but I am sure there are lots of expired items in there. I do check before taking anything. I am definitely going to look for that booklet-I need some Advil--actually I always seem to need Advil-it is the only one that works on my headaches!

We tend to have a fairly healthy household and the most we keep in our medicine cabinet is children's tylenol for my toddler. Hubby loves Vitamin C supplements so keeps those on hand.

Chapstick is an underrated cold and flu season essential! I tend to dry out badly when I'm sick.

This is a great reminder since we usually just look for something we need, realize we're out of it, and then have to drive in bad weather to get it. I should get a list together and get the stuff we need this week. Thanks!

In my dreams, I have a beautifully stocked medicine cabinet for every season. In reality, I'm broke, like, all the time. #sigh So I make sure to have tea tree oil on hand at all times, child ibuprophen for high fevers that don't respond to non-medicinal reduction techniques, and Excedrin.

I need to check expiration dates in our medicine cabinet and restock. My son and I are home sick today. I just stocked up on cough meds. Hoping that this doesn't last too long.

We've been battling colds here lately and have used up a lot of our supply. I need to go stock up on more cold and flu products. I have a feeling it's going to be a nasty winter!

I recently redid my medicine cabinet as well. I threw out a whole bunch of medicines that would interact with my daughter's epilepsy medicine.

I have to have the original black label Chaptsick during the winter months. I buy a few at the beginning of every season. It seems the price goes up the closer to Christmas we get, even if by a few cents. I also put them in stockings.

That little reward card adds up. Hubby uses his all of the time (Walgreens is next to his work).
