Monster Halloween Bookmarks Craft!

disclosure-for-site

October 22, 2017 Carlee at Fun Learning Life 6 Comments

Recently, I gathered up all of our favorite Spooky Books as well as new ones to start reading during the Halloween Season.

In addition, we got ready to start checking out these stories by putting together a simple Monster Halloween Bookmarks Craft.

We like to keep this time of year “not so” scary and these silly creatures are a neat way to welcome in this fall holiday.

If you would like to recreate our Craft, you will need the following:

– Jumbo Craft Sticks

– Pom Poms

– Googly Eyes

– Fuzzy Sticks AKA Pipe Cleaners

– Foam Sheets in Various Colors

– Glue

– Safety Scissors

Looking for another fun Bookmark Idea? Check out our Flower Bookmark Craft Sponsored by Craft Project Ideas!

Directions:

To get started with your Monster Halloween Bookmarks Craft, first have your child pick out their creatures body parts. They will need a craft stick, a pom pom, googly eyes, and foam as well as fuzzy sticks.

Then have them attach a pom pom to the top of their craft stick with a large amount of glue.

Next up have your child glue on their Monster’s eye or eyes and then use the safety scissors to cut out parts of the face.

Example: Use black foam to cut out triangle shapes and a crooked mouth for a Jack O‘Lantern.

Finally, attach fuzzy stick arms, antlers, or antennae to the top portion of the Monster Halloween Bookmark by wrapping it around the craft stick.

We got some of our inspiration from Mickey Mouse, Monster’s Inc, as well as a little Purple People Eater.

I suggest shaping the pipe cleaners into hands, or twirling them into silly horns to make them less pointed.

Then place the bookmark aside to dry, and once it is set it will be ready to be used in your favorite Halloween story.

Tip: Use the safety scissors to cut off any extra fuzzy stick pieces or to adjust the length.

Our Monster Halloween Bookmarks Craft is really easy to put together and I love all the kiddos colorful creatures.

I hope your family enjoys making these fun bookmarks together and you have a Happy Halloween!

I love these. They look pretty simple to put together, too, so younger kids could help put them together (as long as they're old enough to not try to eat the supplies!)

Really cute idea; and can be used as a craft year-round and as seasonal activities :-)
