This is a paid promotion for Toy Story 4 on behalf of Walt Disney Studios. Opinions expressed about the film and the items we received are that of my own. I hope you enjoy our Peppermint Popcorn.
When the kiddos and I have movie nights, I enjoy making them themed popcorn recipes.

After learning that portions of Toy Story 4 was based at a Carnival, the red and white of the tents inspired a Peppermint Popcorn. (Plus it also happens to match Duke Caboom’s Outfit).
Thanks to Disney, not only was my family sent a Toy Story 4 Blu-ray to watch, but we were also given items that would be awesome to host a Toy Story Carnival Themed party.

This included plates, cups, napkins and party masks, along with Gold Fish Crackers, Fruit Snacks, and Tattoos as well as a Toy Story 4 Carnival Chalk Activity.
My kiddos also thought the blue Bunny from the film was adorable and couldn’t wait to open up the RV Tent to play in. Plus, the Bo Peep Blanket is so soft and I love the message.

We had a great time watching this film together, and if you would like to recreate our Peppermint Popcorn Recipe, details are below.
Peppermint Popcorn Recipe, Serves 3
Ingredients:
8 Cups of Popped Popcorn
1/2 Cup of White Chocolate Chips
9 Soft Peppermints

Directions:
To begin, pop a bag of Microwave Popcorn. Once cooled, remove any unpopped kernels and place on a cookie sheet.
Tip: This should make around 8 cups of popcorn.

Next, take the soft peppermints and bust them into pieces. I left them in their packaging and used a hammer to lightly break them apart on a cutting board.
Then, melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave. I used a glass microwave safe container and I suggest starting with 30 seconds and stirring. If needed, use 15 second increments to avoid burning the chocolate as it melts.

To finish the popcorn, drizzle the white chocolate over top and sprinkle the peppermint pieces. Place this in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.
I ended up serving the Peppermint Popcorn in containers that I bought from the Dollar Tree. With the red and white, they also had a Carnival Vibe to them.

About Toy Story 4 on Blu-ray and Digital:
My kiddos and I have seen all 3 of the previous Toy Story films and Toy Story 4 did not disappoint. I appreciate how relatable the animated characters and their struggles are to real life situations. Plus as a parent, I can remember the changes in my own children’s lives that were occurring in Bonnie’s.
In addition, I can appreciate the struggles that Woody is going through as his role as a toy changes in his kid’s life. No spoilers here, but I do have to say that the character of Forky was so funny and I hope your family also gets a kick out of his obsession with trash.

“Toy Story 4” welcomes both veteran and new voices, including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Tony Hale as Forky, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as Ducky and Bunny, Madeleine McGraw as Bonnie, Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby, Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom, Ally Maki as Giggle McDimples and Joan Cusack as Jessie.
The voice cast also includes Jay Hernandez, Lori Alan, Bonnie Hunt, Kristen Schaal, Emily Davis, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Blake Clark, the late Don Rickles and Estelle Harris.
