As a Florida girl I am excited by the potential of cooler weather heading in. In reality, our autumn is basically an extension of summer so by this time of the year, I’m over the heat.
Thankfully, we have started to experience cooler mornings and evenings, and I expect that we will start to have consistent colder days during November.
Regardless of whether or not it is chilly, we still suffer the effects of the season with the usual cold and flu as well as with the humidity dropping, my skin and lips get really dry.
Why not start preparing to for the weather changes now, check out these Items To Keep Mom Comfortable This Winter!
Layers with Alternative Apparel
Layering during the cooler months in Florida is a must because the weather can be pretty temperamental. You can begin the day at 65 degrees and end up with an 80 degree afternoon.
Now I have to say that Alternative Apparel actually made me go outside of my comfort zone when it comes to layers. I have not worn crop tops honestly because I still have a baby belly (LOL been 7 years since I gave birth).
However, I decided to give the Cropped Waffle-Knit Tee a go with a black tank top underneath. I also paired it with a pair of denim capris, and to my surprise I really like this look. It is super comfortable with its Vintage Thermal and is made with with the 50% Cotton and 50% Polyester.
Look for this design at your local Bloomingdales.
Keeping Comfy With Hanes ComfortSoft TM EcoSmart®
Speaking of days where it is cold and then hot again, the Hanes ComfortSoft EcoSmart Women’s Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt is a great piece to have on hand. Easy to put on and then remove, it looks really cute with frayed jean skirt.
When it is officially winter, this will be great to take to the field when my kiddos are playing sports. When I want to stay cozy at home the Hanes ComfortSoft TM EcoSmart Women’s Cinch Bottom Leg Sweatpants will be nice to wear indoors this winter. Not to mention the pants paired well with the 100% Cotton Alternative Apparel Washed-Terry Champ Sweatshirt.
FYI, I learned that Hanes Ecosmart products are helping the environment by being made from 10% recycled polyester from plastic bottles as well as created with 50% renewable energy sources.
By keeping over 50 million plastic bottles from landfills every year with recycled polyester, I think it is pretty cool that Hanes was given their 10th consecutive EPA Energy Star Partner award.
Building Immunity With Original Ginger Chews and Ginger Honey Crystals from Prince of Peace
Like I mentioned before, regardless of the weather we still suffer from all of the seasonal illnesses here in Florida.
Since I like to be proactive, I am all about building up my immune system. Also can’t forget the holiday eating coming my way, I am probably bound to suffer an upset stomach at some point.
Known for its numerous anti- inflammatory and antioxidant compounds Ginger is a natural remedy that has been used by numerous cultures for thousands of years.
Prince of Peace can help individuals enjoy the benefits of Ginger through supporting digestion as well as the antioxidant compounds beneficial to health such as gingerols, beta-carotene, capsaicin, caffeic acid, curcumin and salicylate.
Staying On Top Of Dry Cracked Lips With Campho-Phenique®
I may not need a cold sore treatment, but I do get pretty dry and cracked lips. Keeping up with drinking enough water or applying lip balm can be a challenge, it is like I can never get ahead of it.
This year, I am ready with Campho-Phenique. I actually put this clear gel to use this week when my lips were a little chapped.
It has such a nice cooling effect to reduce pain and I appreciate that it promotes healing with an antiseptic to prevent a secondary infection.
I know I am ready for Winter, how about you? I hope you also find these Items To Keep Mom Comfortable This Winter helpful during the cooler weather.
