DIY Yard Games Made From Plastic Bottles!

disclosure-for-site

Vacation might be coming to an end but we still have over a month of the summer season.

I intend to have my family enjoy this time as much we can, whether heading outdoors to play or via a weekend road trip.

Now I have to say that this summer, my kiddos have been in constant need of entertainment and food to snack on.

Not only have we been heading to the pool, but we have been making crafts, as well as shopping at Walmart to pick up items like Dannon Danimals Smoothie 6 Packs!

My children enjoy snacking on Danimals because they come in awesome flavors like Strawberry Explosion and Strikin’ Strawberry Kiwi.

This Mom likes Dannon Danimals Smoothie 6 Packs because they contain No High Fructose Corn Syrup and No Artificial Colors or Flavors.

Plus they are a good source of Calcium and Vitamin D, and convenient to take along as we head out this summer.

Now I must admit that within a day, my kiddos drank a package of the Dannon Danimals Smoothie Strikin’ Strawberry Kiwi. (They are YUMMY)

I proceeded to save the adorable containers, wash them out, and set them aside to be used for DIY Yard Games Made From Plastic Bottles.

The following morning, I wrote 1-6 on the bottom of the bottles to establish a scoring system for our various games and located a tennis ball.

I then looked around my home to find an ideal spot to have my kids play.

First competition was the Bottle Toss, and the object is to knock them all down.

To play, establish a line to throw a tennis ball from and then have each player go 3 times. To finish, add up the score and whoever has the most wins.

Next up is the Ring Toss, and the object of this game is to get the highest score.

To get started, I first created 3 rings out of 2 pipe cleaners twisted together.

Then, I ordered the bottles with the highest number in the back and the lower numbers in the front. Tip: Add a Quarter to each container to help weigh it down.

Each player then get 3 rings for their turn and who ever has the best score WINS.

Finally we used the Dannon Danimals Smoothie bottles to set up a game of Sidewalk Bowling.

Again each player gets 3 turns to roll a tennis ball and they reset the pins each time.

We tested these Yard Games out at home, but they would also be convenient to play at a park this summer.

Of course after all this activity my kiddos were ready for a snack, and they grabbed a Dannon Danimals Smoothie from the refrigerator.

Whether staying at home, hitting the road for a day trip, or picking my kids up from school, a Dannon Danimals Smoothie makes for a yummy snack for the kiddos!

Let’s just say that I will be heading back up to the store shortly to grab a few more packs!

These are some simple yet fun ideas. Might be nice for a birthday game idea, on a budget.

This is very creative making your own DIY games out of plastic bottles. My kids would love to do this. I will have to pick up some of these yogurts and clean out the bottles for them to have fun!!

These are so cute! I think my boys, ages 17 and 12 are now too old (and too screen-centered) for the activities, but this could be a great idea for when other little ones come into my life, such as at church or future grandchildren.
