Today, I am sharing details about a basic Smoothie that I make for my family on a weekly basis.
Plus due to an awesome Spring curated box I received, I was able to experiment with a substitution and create a Chocolate Banana and Kale Smoothie rich in fiber as well as protein.
A special thank you goes out to MARY’s secret ingredients for providing my family with the 2017 Spring Box and inspiring me to mix up my usual smoothie!
Throughout 2016 and 2017 I have shared details on a delicious subscription box service called MARY’s secret ingredients. During this time, I have showcased their seasonal boxes and created recipes with the star products.
Just to give you an idea of some of the dishes and desserts I have made, there was a Chinese Orange Chicken, a Lemon Meringue Pie Freezer Pop Recipe, as well as a Lingonberry Parfait.
Now to give a refresher on how these boxes work, according to their website MARY’s secret ingredients is a limited edition culinary surprise subscription box containing unique, gourmet products you’ve probably never heard of. In their boxes they also include a small kitchen tool, and it is all delivered right to your door.
Every season, a limited number of curated boxes are filled with lovely surprises to inspire your cooking. Mary creates custom recipes using each product and emails them to you.
Plus you can feel really good about your purchase because each sale supports MARY’s secret ingredients in a partnership with Feed The Children to end global hunger.
The items included in the MARY’s secret ingredients Spring Box 2017 are Chocolate Sesame Spread from Soom Foods, Wilder Condiments Honey Jalapeno Mustard, Get Dressed Dressing and Marinade, Joseph Joseph SmartBar, as well as NY Whiskey Truffles from Catskill Provisions. Read on to see how I created a smoothie with the Chocolate Sesame Spread.
