Banana Sour Cream Squares

Warmer weather has made its way back to the Sunshine State, and I am ecstatic because I can start enjoying many of my favorite morning activities.

This happens after hubby and my older kids leave the house and include drinking a delicious cup of coffee with breakfast on my lanai, and completing a little herb and container gardening.

McCafe Coffee in Walmart

Now before I could even begin with this outdoor “me time” I would first need to take a trip up to Walmart to pick up McCafé Premium Roast Coffee, Bananas for a recipe, and new plants.

Upon arrival, I made my way through the Garden Center and placed basil, sage, and tomatoes as well as peppers in my cart. I then visited the coffee aisle and ended my visit over in the produce area.

Recipe for Banana Sour Cream Squares

After getting home, I then made a Banana Sour Cream Squares Recipe. FYI, it yields 15 Squares and the instructions are below.

Banana Sour Cream Squares Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Banana

1/2 Cup Sour Cream

1 1/4 Cup of White Sugar

2 Eggs

1 1/4 Cup of White Flour

2 1/2 Tsp of Baking Powder

1/2 Tsp of Salt

Powdered Sugar

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Using a beater, completely mix the sour cream and sugar until combined. Then, add the eggs one at a time, beating completely.

Mix in the rest of the ingredients and add in the mashed banana last. Pour this into a greased and floured 8 X 12.5 Pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the center is firm. (I also tested it with a toothpick)

Once it completely cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and cut into slices.

Banana Sour Cream Squares and McCafe Cofee

McCafé Premium Roast Coffee is made with 100% Arabica Beans and harvested from the rich soils and mountainous regions of the foremost coffee-growing areas of the world.

The medium blend has a great taste and compliments well with my favorite vanilla coffee creamer.

McCafe Coffee and Banana Sour Cream Squares

After my 2 older children and hubby headed out the door to school and work, I was ready to go outside.

With a freshly brewed cup of coffee and my Banana Sour Cream Squares, I sat in my lanai and took in the pretty scenery.

Plants from Walmart

Then, I started planting my flowers and at that point, my little guy was ready to get up and start his day.

What is your morning routine like? Where do you like to enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee?

Container Gardening and Earth Boxes

My son and I then headed out together to garden and we placed the herbs and vegetables in their new home. This moment outside was something we both enjoyed.

McCafé Premium Roast Coffee is available in 8 flavors and is offered in Premium bags and coffee pods. Visit a local Walmart to purchase your favorite variety today!
