Blue Cheese Meatloaf Sliders

I like to experiment with Meatloaf because it is a family favorite.  It is also nice to keep things interesting by adding in different ingredients. That is actually how I ended up developing this Blue Cheese Meatloaf Sliders Recipe.

Romaine Lettuce

This past week I decided to really mix it up, and incorporate Blue Cheese Dressing as well as serve it on Slider buns.

Slider Buns

This was a fun food to eat while we were watching football on TV, and they were just as tasty the next day as left overs.

Ingredients for Blue cheese sliders

If you would like to recreate the Blue Cheese Meatloaf Sliders Recipe, this is what you will need:

Ingredients:

1 pound of Ground Round (A little more in fine but I would not use less)
3/4 Cup of Italian Bread Crumbs
1 egg
6 Tablespoons of Blue Cheese Dressing
12 Slider Buns
Hearts of Romaine Lettuce

Meatloaf

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all the meat, bread crumbs, dressing, and egg in a bowl completely.

Place the mix in a loaf pan and cook for 55 minutes.

Blue Cheese Meatloaf Prepared

As always confirm that it is cooked through by following the USDA Guidelines for Cooked Meat and use a thermometer. It should reach an internal temperature of 160 ° degrees F.

Once cooked, allow to cool for a few minutes then carefully remove from the loaf pan. Pat the meatloaf with a paper towel to remove any excess liquid.

Blue Cheese Meatloaf Slider

Then slice it down the middle and cut into 12 slices. Place a slice along with a piece of lettuce on the slider and top with your favorites like ketchup, mustard or even add a 1/2 Teaspoon of Blue cheese dressing. Serves approximately 6 or more.

Do you turn your meatloaf into a sandwich? How do you serve it?

If you try this recipe out, let me know what you think!

These sound really interesting and tasty! I love Blue Cheese with steak, so makes perfect sense to match up with ground beef, too. Wonderful idea!
