Back To School Routines with Walmart and Bigelow Tea #AmericasTea #shop #cbias

This past weekend, my family took advantage of tax-free in the State of Florida and headed up to Walmart to finish our back to school shopping. In addition, we explored the Bigelow Tea section in the coffee aisle and picked up items to aid in this year’s back to school breakfast, afternoon snacks, and drinks on the go for after school activities. I’m happy to report that we completed our mission.

You can check out our trip here, Back To School Routines with Walmart and Bigelow Tea #AmericasTea.

I ended up bringing home 6 different varieties of Bigelow Tea to try along with fresh fruit and raspberry spread for pairings. Of course, I had to break open a box of herbal tea as soon as we got home to help unwind from all the shopping. The Red Raspberry Herb Tea looked like a good choice and I was right.  I steeped the tea bag for 5 minutes in hot water and added a teaspoon and a half of honey. It smells great and is delicious!

I also brewed a 1/2 gallon of the Perfect Peach Herb Tea.   To make it I boiled water and turn it off, added 8 tea bags, and steeped for 5-10 minutes. After, I stirred in a 1/2 cup of sugar, I moved this to a beverage container, and then added enough water to make it a 1/2 gallon. This gave me something caffeine free to drink during the week.

I even took some Perfect Peach in my Tervis Tumbler to a play-date. This was a great alternative to grabbing a sugary soda or cold coffee beverage while I was out. I expect I’ll be doing this a lot while I wait in the car rider’s lane or hang out during after school practice.

I also told the kiddos that I would make Freezer Pops with the Perfect Peach Herb Tea and fresh peaches. These were surprisingly easy to make.  I used the sweet tea I had already made the night before in this recipe.

The next day, I peeled a peach and cut it into small pieces.  These went at the bottom of the pop holder. 2 cups of the Perfect Peach previously brewed was then poured over the peaches.  The pops were put into the freezer overnight. (You could always brew 2 cups of fresh tea and sweeten to your desire).

I decided to call these Perfect Peach Tea Ice Pops. The kids decided to call them “YUMMY” as they watched an afternoon movie. I asked if I should make them again and the exclaimed response was “YES!”. These pops are so refreshing and I feel great about giving my kids an afternoon snack that is caffeine free and filled with fresh fruit.

Not only did we have tea for a snack, we also had it along with our breakfast. My daughter wanted warm Perfect Peach and my son requested the Red Raspberry. I asked him if he wanted Raspberry spread on his toast as well and he said yes.  It made for a delicious breakfast pairing.

As a parent, I am concerned about the amount of sugar my kids are consuming, and I like a beverage that I can determine the amount of sweetener going into it. It is a plus that Bigelow Tea offers caffeine free varieties, and teas with antioxidant properties.

I haven’t even begun to explore all of the possibilities with the Bigelow Tea varieties, but I am excited to continue to incorporate them into our daily routine. It was awesome to find a tea with so many flavors versus using a plain variety, it keeps things interesting.  Not to mention, I was thrilled at the affordability of this product.

So how do you incorporate tea into your daily routine?  What is your favorite flavor?

I also like to make iced tea with the Red Raspberry tea bags. The Green Tea with Pomegranate is another great option for that. Love your pops!
