Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway! Recycling Just Got Easier!

disclosure-for-site

March 23, 2012 Carlee at Fun Learning Life 63 Comments

My cabinets

Thanks to Rubbermaid, I was sent a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler to review here on At Home Moma. I am so excited to have received this product, because it has made recycling easier for me and has also saved me time.

Demonstration of the Hidden Recycler.

The Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler installs easily over cabinet doors with hooks or screws, and since it has a backing on the hooks, it does not scrape the surface. It also has a 5 gallon bag with a liner that is leak proof.  The bag can hold 36 12-ounce cans, plus it holds milk jugs, bottles, and paper products.

What is really neat, is it has a built-in handle so it can be carried with ease and emptied into the main recycle container. And when it is emptied, it can be thrown into the wash since it is machine washable.

The Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler is made from recyclable material and can also be recycled. It retails for $17.59 at the Rubbermaid website.

What impressed me most about this product, was 3 things.  First, it helped me remove the recyclable items that normally sit on my counter until I head out to the recycle bin.  Second, it has saved me multiple trips out to the recycle bin during the day. Third, it is made from recyclable material, so it can be recycled as well.

I am so glad to have this product in my home because it reinforces recycling. I can even get the kids involved in the process since it is their height and they can put things in it as well.

At my house we recycle cans, plastic, and paper items. We grow some of our own vegs, use sunlight during the day a's lighting as much as possible, we cut the plastic that comes around 6pm coke cans to protect animals, participate in beach clean-up days and waste as little as possible.
