I have to admit that lately my “real” life has been getting in the way of my “blogging ” life, and honestly, I can’t really complain. My family is my first priority and between moving to a new house, my son going into kindergarten, my daughter starting ballet, and my husband starting a new job, my “real” life has just been very busy.
Even though we have been going through all of these changes, my kids are really thriving and are doing really well in school and at the various programs they are involved in.
My son recently scored his first goal in soccer and was the Student of the Week (they call it Eagle of the Week, which explains the eagles above) plus he was also selected to be one of the Students of the Month as well. We also had our Parent Teacher Conference this past week and the teacher just raved about our son’s behavior and how he is a role model for other students. I am really proud of him.
My daughter’s personality is really blooming and she really loves her ballet class and her instructor. She had her first official girl play-date in the new house with a ballet buddy and she just thought it was the best thing ever (I even got to have time to chat with another mom). She just cracks me up with all the things she says and she is just a sponge that picks up anything you tell her. We have been working on learning the letters of the alphabet and now anytime she sees a letter on a sign, she yells them out to me. She really is a loving child and always has a hug and smile for her mom. I am really proud of her as well.
I just wanted to take a moment to share these important things about my kids, and my life. Although I get a ton of pleasure from blogging, seeing my family thrive is what brings me the most happiness.
