Looking for a fun family craft, check out the Mardi Gras masks we made!
In preparation for an upcoming Mardi Gras Party, I decided to put together a fun and easy craft for the kiddos. I had actually made something similar with the kids at Michael’s, so I knew exactly where to get my supplies.
To recreate this craft, here is what you need:
If you have plenty of time in advance, the glitter glue works great, however since these were going to be masks that the kids would be wearing immediately, I used the glitter glue to decorate in my trial run.
Tip: I figured out that it is best to just tape the feathers together in a bunch at the bottom, and then tap them all to the back of the mask.
The kiddos put their own masks together and they turned out great. They definitely had a great time making their own creations!
I spent around $14 and I had plenty of leftovers. I’m sure we will be using these items again in future crafts and masks.
Do you do anything similar for your own Mardi Gras Party? If so, do you add anything special to your masks?
If you make these with your own family, Enjoy!
