Thanks to Mattel, I was given a Disney Sofia the First Talking Sofia and Animal Friends to review with my daughter here on Frugal and Fun Mom.
If you have young children who watch the Disney Channel, I’m sure you already know who this character is. However if you don’t, Sofia the First is a Disney Junior show that is currently ranked as TV’s #1 series in kids ages 2-5, girls ages 2-5 and #1 preschool TV series in total viewers. As a family, we are fans of the Sofia the First series.
Disney Sofia the First Talking Sofia and Animal Friends includes a standing Sofia doll that talks when her amulet is pressed. In addition, Sofia comes with her 3 animal friends Clover the Rabbit, Robin the Robin and Mia the Bluebird. Once you activate the amulet and bring Sofia’s animal friends up to it, she will have a conversation with them. As she speaks, her amulet glows.
This doll has over 30 phrases and also includes a charm that can be put on a bracelet. It is intended for children 3 years and up and is available for purchase now. Talking Sofia and Animal Friends suggested retail price is $39.99.
My daughter LOVES this doll, and I am glad she is really enjoying it. My only complaint is I wish there was something like this when I was a little girl. This was obviously a big deal for her because she even put on a crown and a purple dress when her doll arrived. I asked her why she like it, and with a surprised look and response she said, “IT TALKS!”, as if I didn’t already know that.
