This post is brought to you by El Monterey Mexican Food. They provided me with samples of their breakfast burritos, opinions are all my own.
School is in and that means mornings are a little rushed. My kids need to be out the door by a certain time, however this doesn’t mean that we have to sacrifice eating a delicious and filling breakfast.
This week I put together an EASY Breakfast Bar for my family that was made with conveniently prepared foods along with fruits to compliment.
First thing I did to get our meal ready, was put 3 varieties of individually packaged El Monterey Breakfast Burritos into a preheated oven.
This included Sausage, Jalapeno, and Bacon Flavors. FYI, if you are really in a rush, you can make these in the microwave in 1 1/2 minutes.
While the burritos were cooking, I made dipping salsas by pureeing a 15.25 oz can of half peaches (drained) in the food processor.
I took a 1/2 cup and added in 1/2 Teaspoon of Dried Red Pepper and combined.
This was a Spicy Peach Salsa that I then placed in a decorative glass bowl and labeled “Spicy”.
Next I took the left over peach puree and added in 2 cut Strawberries. I ran this through the food processor again, and this Strawberry Peach Salsa was also put into a decorative bowl and labeled Sweet.
Before the burritos were done, I put out fresh fruit like Honey Dew Melon, Grapes, and Bananas, and also set out glasses with Orange Juice.
When everything was ready, I then placed the Bacon, Sausage, and Jalapeno Flavors onto a dish and labeled them with small chalkboards.
After the kids were up and dressed, they were welcomed with a nice display and able to serve themselves.
My family agrees that El Monterey Breakfast Burritos are tasty and definitely easy to prepare.
I like how they are all in one and individually packed. This makes them convenient to even take to work.
After taste testing all of these, it is tough to pick a favorite. I will admit though that I go for the Jalapeno ones first.
FYI, the fruit salsas were a perfect compliment to these.
