Apple Pie French Toast Recipe!

disclosure-for-site

October 27, 2017 Carlee at Fun Learning Life 219 Comments

My recipe Apple Pie French Toast and this post have been sponsored by Eggland’s Best. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

Wanting an awesome Fall dish that would be great for either breakfast, brunch, or dessert? Well my Apple Pie French Toast is ready for the occasion and probably would be just as fun for Thanksgiving dinner!

I had been brainstorming an easy recipe to serve up for the kiddos for a Sunday morning brunch and after looking at a package of cinnamon swirl bread and apple pie filling, it hit me that this would be an excellent combination.

Of course I would need to pick up a few ingredients to put this together, so I headed up to the grocery store to grab pralines, more cinnamon swirl bread, and Eggland’s Best Eggs. If you would like to recreate this dish, details are below!

Apple Pie French Toast Recipe

What you will need: (Serves 3)

2 Eggland’s Best Eggs

2/3 Cup of Apple Pie Filling

3 pieces of Cinnamon Swirl Bread

1/2 Cup of Pralines AKA Glazed Pecans

1 Tbsp of Olive Oil

Optional but highly recommended: Whipped Cream

Directions:

To get started, first add the Olive Oil to a pan and place on medium. Then, scramble 2 Eggland’s Best Eggs in a bowl and coat 3 slices of Cinnamon Swirl bread completely. There should be barely any egg left if any at all.

Cook the French Toast until the egg as well as bread are firm and lightly browned, this should be at least 3 minutes on each side but may require more. Immediately serve by topping the French Toast with the Apple Pie filling, Whipped Cream, and Pralines.

Eggland’s Best are AMERICA’S #1 SHELL EGGS

Eggland’s Best Eggs are an excellent source of vitamins D, B12, E, B5 and Riboflavin. They have six times more vitamin D, more than double the omega-3, 10 times more vitamin E and 25 percent less saturated fat than ordinary eggs.

Independent testing has also confirmed that EB eggs stay fresher longer than ordinary eggs and the secret behind this is their special, wholesome, all-vegetarian hen feed.

We have tried to make french toast with pancakes, where we make pancakes and then dip them the same way you make french toast. It turns out, but the eggs don't adhere well to the surface of the pancakes.
