Giving Smiles With Alphabet Beads Loom Band Bracelets Craft!

A special thank you goes out to Craft Project Ideas for sending my family Happy Mail. We would not have been inspired to make these bracelets if it had not been for a sparkly bag of Alphabet Bead Glitter Cubes.

It has been a busy couple of weeks, so I am taking a moment to share a really thoughtful gift that my daughter gave to her friends recently.

Long story short, I asked my kiddos if they would like to make something for their friends for Valentine’s Day.

We had made cards in the past, but they really wanted to try something different this time.

I knew I had just received a box of goodies from Craft Project Ideas so we took a look inside and I said to my daughter, “Why don’t you make bracelets and put your friend’s initials on them.”

Well she was so excited by the idea, but we then needed to figure out how we would make the actual bracelets.

Now all three of my children happen to be excellent loom band creators, so I volunteered to run to the craft store and pick up Valentine’s Day inspired colors.

I came home with pink, purple, and glow in the dark white, and she immediately went to creating Alphabet Beads Loom Band Bracelets Craft for her classmates.

Now obviously this is a little after the fact when it comes to Sweetheart’s Day, however I think this would be a neat idea for a simple service project, to gift at Christmas Time, or something to put in the back of your mind for next year.

In addition, if your children have never made one of these bracelets before, check out my son creating a single band loom bracelet. Plus, you can find plenty of additional loom band tutorials on YouTube (that is where my son originally got started).

Want to make these Alphabet Beads Loom Band Bracelets Craft? You will need the following:

Alphabet Bead Glitter Cubes  (You can find them at Walmart)

Loom Bands

Loom Band C or S Clips

Loom Band Hook

Rainbow Loom or Mini Loom

How We Did It:

First, decide on the pattern you will be using and pick out the 2 initials from the letter beads.

I expect that it will take around 25 bands to complete the bracelets. (Tip: The Alphabet Bead Glitter Cubes also has hearts that can be added and you may want to grab 2 bags to make sure you have enough letters for all the kids in a class.)

Then, start creating your Single Band Bracelet. About halfway through, place a band through the middle of a bead and add it to the loom, then repeat this with the next bead.

Continue with the bands until you have reached the desired size and complete the bracelet with a clip.

It took may daughter 4-5 hours spread out over a about 3 days to make these for 25 of her friends and the end result was so colorful and cute. Her buddies as well as teacher have been wearing these to school and they absolutely love her creation.

They appreciated the time she took to make this custom gift and it has made her happy to see that they are enjoying them.

I hope your family gets inspired by these Alphabet Beads Loom Band Bracelets Craft as well!

My daughters are obsessed with friendship bracelets. I have never seen a set like this. I love how you made them as Valentine's trinkets. Great idea! So much better than candy! :-)

I remember buying these beads when I was a child. I use to spend the day making bracelets for myself and my friends.
