So how exactly did we end up putting together a Kid Customized Teacher Appreciation Basket?

Well to provide a little back story, I absolutely love my kiddos teachers and try to help out whenever I can.

I love an opportunity to volunteer in the classroom, do work at home to lessen the load, as well as donate items to the classroom when there is a need.

During this time of year, educators are restocking on school supplies that tend to run out, and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to get my daughter’s classroom needed supplies.

However, I wanted the details of this gift to be a surprise so I asked my second grader what she thought her teacher needed. This is what made our present a Kid Customized Teacher Appreciation Basket!

We headed up to Walmart to explore the school supplies as well as went over to the paper products to pick up Kleenex Anti-Viral.

This trip truly was a lesson in observation as well as learning how well my little girl pays attention to the details.

As we shopped, my daughter began describing to me all of the items she saw her teacher either using or needing in the classroom.

It was really sweet to see how much she cares and how she wanted to get her teacher items to make the job easier.

She hand selected sticky notes, printer paper, tape, markers, pens, and more. We then got a sturdy tote to carry the gifts in, added tissue paper and a bow, and placed all the items inside.

The last supplies to go in were the Kleenex Anti-Viral Boxes removed out of their packaging. We then went to the classroom to present the teacher’s gift.

Let’s keep our family’s at home and at school happy and healthy by being a cold hero and reducing the germs being passed around.

By giving those around you Kleenex Anti-Viral for sneezes and runny noses, you are passing on a product created to  kill 99.9% of cold and flu viruses*.  Within 15 minutes, these tissues have active ingredients in the middle layer made to disrupt the viruses’ protective coating .

It was such a blessing to me to watch my daughter explain the items that were in this Kid Customized Teacher Appreciation Basket! As the teacher removed each item, she shared why she picked it for her and there were lots of smiles being exchanged.

To learn more about this Kleenex product visit Kleenex Anti-Viral at Walmart and look for 4 packs at your local store!

This was such a fun activity to work on with my daughter, and I hope it inspires you to create your own Kid Customized Teacher Appreciation Basket!

What an adorable gift! It amazes me what teachers have to spend of their own money. Helping them out with some basics (some that can even be reused) is probably priceless!

That is really nice. I always like gifts that are things that I will use. My son's teacher doesn't want too many desserts, so I try to put together gifts like this since I know that she likes practical things that are thoughtful.

What a great gift for a child to give to a teacher to show his or her appreciation. I especially love the fact that the child would customize the items in the basket.
