The holidays are truly about tradition, and with all the hustle and bustle sometimes it is hard to slow down to enjoy the little things.

A special thank you goes out to Fox Home Ent Insiders for providing my family with a holiday kit as well as The Original Christmas Classics Blu-Ray DVD to host Family Fun! Opinions expressed are mine alone.

My daughter and I actually took a few moments this past Sunday to assemble a Santa Calendar Craft and just to spend some uninterrupted time together.

We also plan on snuggling up with our new throw and watching The Original Christmas Classics Anniversary Collector’s Edition that includes 7 Timeless Holiday Stories.

If you would like to recreate our Santa Calendar Craft, you will need the following:

– Red Construction Paper
– White Construction Paper
– Paper Grocery Bag with Handles
– Cotton Balls
– Scissors
– Glue
– Crayons
– Quarter
– Bowl

Directions:

First cut out one section of the grocery bag (FYI this came from Whole Foods) and turn it over to the side that does not have any print.

Then, take the bowl and use it to draw a circle on the white construction paper. Cut this shape out and have your child give Santa a face and rosy cheeks. Next, place this via glue onto the grocery bag.

Next up cut out a red hat large enough to fit on the head but small enough to still fit on the bag. Glue this to the top of the face.

Then it is time to add some cotton balls with glue. We added one to the end of the Santa hat and to his face to make a goatee.

Finally, take the quarter and use it to draw circles to create a beard and number them 1 to 25. (You can do this as either a countdown form or a calendar) My daughter then glued the cotton balls to the days that had already passed, and will continue to do so until Christmas Morning.

Since this activity already has a handle, it is easy to hang the Santa Calendar Craft on a nail, a tree, or even a door knob.

This year, three beloved holiday characters come to life for the first time on Digital HD! And just in time for the holidays, these stories and more are available on Blu-ray and DVD in a Bundle pack perfect for creating new memories and holiday traditions!

I love Frosty the Snowman the most. We don't always do a Christmas countdown but this year we actually did something very similar to your craft. It's so cute!

In this house The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is always a winner. We have an Elf on the shelf who not only keeps an eye on the kids but whoever finds him each morning gets to open the chocolate countdown calendar that we get.
