Top five things to carry in a toddler's diaper bag

My sister Sarah’s little guy has recently ventured into the walking stage, which means that life will be getting interesting.

Not only does she have to move things up higher, but both she and her hubby will have to keep an eye on the Christmas tree this year. Her son’s diaper bag needs will be changing as well and since they will be heading out for Holiday get together’s, her family will want to be prepared with Toddler Essentials.

Huggies Little Movers at Sam's Club

Recently they got stocked up on one of these items at our local Sam’s Club. This popular retailer carries a wide variety of baby products, making it no surprise to find a 148 count box of Huggies® Little Movers. Made for active babies, these diapers will keep her little man dry while he explores and plays.

At the price of $39.98, it is easy to stock up and spend money on other needed items like new clothes (since he is growing) and activities to keep him busy. Plus, shopping is made even easier for Sam’s Club Members with free shipping on Diapers/Wipes.

Huggies Little Movers

Since my sister has been transitioning to a little mover, I asked her to share her Top 5 Suggestions on What To Carry In A Toddler’s Diaper Bag.

1. Plenty of Huggies® Little Movers Diapers – We will use these while out exploring.

2. Wipes- These will come in handy after he plays at the park and at other outdoor events.

3. Crackers/snacks – He will need to refuel after all the activity.

4. Kid friendly Sunblock – Since he is walking we will be out and about, and in Florida this is a MUST!

5. Extra clothes – Let’s face it, he is going to be getting dirty with all this new mobility.

Top five things to carry in a diaper bag

In her own words, “As my little man has moved from a more stationary baby to an active toddler, it is always important to keep his diaper bag packed with super absorbent diapers (like Huggies®), as well as wipes, and lots of on the go snacks. Plus with all the outdoor play, sunblock and extra clothes are important for my little explorer.” – Sarah P.

Would you add any other items to this toddler’s diaper bag? What products did you find most helpful when your baby started to walk?

Huggies Little Movers on BABY

Only Huggies® diapers have a stretchy SnugFit Waistband. The unique contoured shape provides a comfortable fit and stays in place as babies move and play. Plus, they are now even more absorbent with new and improved LEAK LOCK® and DryTouch® liner.

Sarah and I hope you find the suggestions on What To Carry In A Toddler’s Diaper Bag helpful!

Great post! Sunblock is great. I can't tell you how many times I have had to make a pit stop and pick some up because I forgot one. I always make sure I have some in my bag at all times now. We also just recently got a membership to SAMs club and are in love! Amazing deals on diapers and wipes. I think the only other thing I carry is a special treat bag- it comes in handy when needed!!

We love Little Movers. I actually splurged on a Sam's Club membership this month because they have so many great items for babies and children at such great prices.

Lots of great tips included here and when my grand kids were small, even as a grandma I had and packed my own diaper bag when I watched the children. It helped not to deplete the supplies for my daughter so she always had supplies ready and I liked using some products that she did not use in her diaper bag.

This is a great list, my only addition would be hand sanitizer. My toddlers are touching EVERYTHING right now and it's been great to be able to just squirt their little hands when I need to!

I pretty much always carried the same things. Snacks have always been very important in our house :)

Packing snacks is so important for toddlers. There is nothing worse than a hungry toddler!

Seems like a pretty comprehensive list but I agree with another person who said hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes. Kids touch everything and lots of what they touch will make them sick.

OH man, yes to extra clothes and then extra clothes to back up the other extra clothes! We don't actually carry around a diaper bag for our son WITH US but we keep it in the car at all times and stock it back up when we get home. Now that our youngest is almost 2, we've found it's much easier to run out to the car if an accident happens than to lug the bag around and it not be needed. We're weird lol

I think that toddler’s diaper bag should really carry the essentials. Those items you mentioned are some of the important things.

Great ideas! We always carry diapers and all the normal essentials, but I sometimes forget the most simple and common things!

These are all great things to pack in the diaper bag. I tried to make sure i always had enough just in case we had to stay the night somewhere.

We never left home without wipes, some kind of healthy snack and a toy to keep my son occupied when needed. It sounds like you have thought of everything!
