Poinsettia Christmas Wreath with Letter! An Artificial DIY Craft!

Poinsettia Christmas Wreath with Letter An Artificial DIY Craft

I recently put together a Poinsettia Christmas Wreath for my front door, and I am really excited about the results.

This is actually made from a basic wreath I had bought years ago from Home Interiors and it came with the pine cones already attached along with holly berries, sparkly eucalyptus and cedar.

To finish it I added a few additional items I had on hand like my family’s initial, and I bought items after Christmas last year on deep discount.

Poinsettia Christmas Wreath

If you would like to recreate this Poinsettia Christmas Wreath with Letter, this is what you would need:

A basic artificial pine wreath 18-24 Inch

5 artificial poinsettia flowers

3-5 Pine cones

5-10 small decoration gold balls

Ribbon with built-in wire

Family wooden initial

Green florist wire or ornament hangers

Optional: holly berries along with eucalyptus and cedar treated with a Glitter Blast, Diamond Dust Spray.

All of these items should be found online or at a local craft store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You also may be able to find them at a local Dollar store or Walmart.

Directions:

First spread out the wreaths branches, and then wrap the ribbon around the exterior.  I made a total of 5 turns and when I finished I used the built-in ribbon wire to secure it to the back of the wreath.

Second, attach the pine cones along with the gold balls. (Optional add holly berries, eucalyptus, and cedar)  Do this by wrapping the florist wire or ornament hangers round the item and then twisting it onto the actual wreath branches.

Next, add the family letter. This can also be attached with florist wire or ornament hangers.

Finally, arrange the poinsettia along the wreath using the built-in wire stems to attach to the pine branches.

Make any adjustments as needed, and it is that simple to make.

Do you have a Christmas Wreath that you use each year? Or, do you create a new one?

I hope this gives you holiday decorating inspiration, and if you make it for your home ENJOY!

I'm heading to the Dollar tree tomorrow to pick up some new goodies to put on my outdoor wreath. The birds "borrow" stuff from it each year and it's starting to look bedraggled. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have some poinsettias from our wedding about 10 years ago, this would make the perfect craft for them!

Great idea for an outdoor wreath for Christmas, I bet the red really makes it pop when seen from the street.

Your wreath is very pretty. The addition of the letter is really nice. I wish that I had thought of that before I made ours. I'll be sure to add one next year. Thanks for sharing.

I made my own wreath many years ago, and have used it every year. I love this idea of personalizing the wreath with a letter, however :)

What an absolutely gorgeous holiday wreath! And from your directions it looks pretty easy to make :) We used to have a wreath but had to take it down because believe it or not the birds around here kept trying to steal from it. LOL

I'm a girl that firmly believes you should monogram everything and that includes this wreath. Love the letter on it for the personal touch.
