Thank you to Madison Reed for allowing me the opportunity to discover a healthier and convenient alternative to at-home hair color, and for sponsoring this post.
Madison Reed Luxury Custom Hair Color

Now that Fall is here, I like to tone down my highlights and give my hair a warmer look. Thanks to Madison Reed and their custom color consultation, I was able to achieve this appearance and a Natural Hair Color result at home.

Madison Reed offers color that is Ammonia, Resorcinol, and PPD-Free, with No Parabens added. Their advanced formula delivers luminous shine and 100% gray coverage without the stink, burn, or itch of the harsh chemicals found in other colors. The formula is also packed with hair-fortifying and protecting ingredients including Argan Oil, Keratin, and Ginseng Root.

Madison Reed Custom Color

To get started with my custom color kit, first I needed to call Madison Reed and speak with a professional Hair Stylist. I ended up talking to a really nice representative named Noelle, and she walked me through the process.

We talked about my existing hair color, the length of my hair, and what I wanted my end result to be. Noelle then had me take an online quiz and send her a picture. After discussing it, we determined that the best color for me would be Sicily Blond and I placed my order.

Tip: You don’t have to speak with a representative to place your order, however I highly recommend it for more accurate results and for the total experience.

A few days later I received my kit in the mail along with a separate special thank you note from Noelle.

For review purposes, I then took a before photo so you could see what my hair looked like with my existing roots and highlights.

On Sunday while my little guy was napping and the older 2 were entertaining themselves, I decided to apply the color and have a little in home spa and salon time.

Inside the kit were the directions along with the color solution, barrier cream, a cleansing wipe, 2 sets of gloves, shampoo, and conditioner.

As I opened up the container my first thought was this smells really good.

I followed the directions, and my hair processed for 35 minutes. Here I am with my cap on and my special “Hair Color” shirt.

After I was finished, I used the enclosed shampoo and conditioner and let my hair air dry.

So drum roll please…final result is I achieved my darker blond for the Fall and my hair looks great.  Not to mention, after coloring I had a good scent left on my hair.

Now that I have used this kit, I think what impressed me most about Madison Reed was the result, organization/ease of use, and the smell. I really think this experience is worth the investment and time.

Before and After Madison Reed

I am definitely looking forward to trying a different color in the future and pampering myself again.

I like the subtle color difference and you can't help but love a hair color product that smells good. That's one of the main reasons I don't color my hair, but I think adding a few low lights might be easy with this set.

What a great looking kit! My hair grows so fast I have to dye it at home always because I can't afford the price of the salon every three weeks. I will check into Madison Reed before my next at home job.

Looks great! I use Madison Reed all the time now. I love that fact it doesn't smell, and the automatic re-order is useful too, because just when I start noticing my roots a new box shows up.

Your hair looks fantastic. I love that golden color. It sounds like this brand isn't as harsh as others. Something to try!

Wow, it did a really great job! I wouldn't have thought you could get those results from an at-home color!
