If you have followed the site for a while, you probably have realized that my family really enjoys the Disney Junior Channel.
My daughter is included in this fan club, and of course she loves Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, and Minnie Mouse. She even incorporates these characters into her imaginative play time through toys and dressing up.
This past week I was planning some Halloween Inspired Family Fun, and asked my daughter if she would like to have a Doc McStuffins Halloween Costume and themed snack time.
Of course I did not have to ask twice, and the ideas of what we should do started coming from my “mini” event planner. First thing on her list was Bandage Cookies.
To bring it all together, we took a trip up to Walmart to purchase party supplies and items for our snack.
We first visited the toy department and came upon a Doc McStuffins Halloween Costume along with Sofia the First and Minnie Mouse. We even found a Big Book of Boo Boos.
We then visited the party planning area to look for candy hearts to decorate the cookies, and one isle over found a wide selection of American Greetings Doc McStuffins Party Supplies.
There were Disney cups, plates, goody bag items, decorations, and so much more.
The following Sunday I told my kids that we would have our special snack. While they were spending time out with their Dad, I set up everything.
I decorated the table with a cloth and pop up decor, and also set out plates and cups.
Next, I created Heart Bandage Cookies, Pretzel Thermometers, and a fruit salad.
In order to make the Heart Bandage Cookies, simply put a dot of white decorating icing on the backs of Heart Candy Cake Decorations and place in the middle of Vanilla Wafers. SO EASY!
When my daughter came home, she immediately got dressed in here new “not itchy” Doc McStuffins Halloween Costume.
She was so excited, and even had me put pig tails in her hair so she could look just like “Doc” in her Doc McStuffins Halloween Costume.
Then she proceeded to give her Lambie and Stuffy a check up. They got the full work up.
When she was finished with her assessment of her stuffed friends, she had to write it all down in the Big Book of Boos Boos.
She was quite entertaining to watch, and we really enjoyed our special time together.
When play time was over we ate our fun snacks, however later that evening her Dad, brothers, and myself also received a check up.
Does your child (children) watch Disney Junior? Who is their favorite character?
