Since I started couponing and blogging about it, I have really been keeping my eyes open to great deals, store ads, and different opportunities on the Internet. I had never really been a person who entered into giveaways or sweepstakes, because I was either too busy, or just figured that I would never win. Well, never again will I think that.
Back in August I saw that there was a contest on the back of a Publix Ad through Unilever and Publix. It was a “Back To School” promotion and the Grand Prize was a $1000 Gift Card to Publix and 1st Place was a $500 gift card and so on an so forth.
So I went to the website and entered, and didn’t think about it again after that.
Friday, when I woke up from my deep sleep, after spending the night out for Black Friday, I grabbed the mail and noticed a letter from Integrated Marketing Services. I figured it was a free sample or something but when I opened it up, there was a Publix Gift Card, and the letter said “Congratulations!! Your entry in the Unilever “Back to School” Sweepstakes has been selected as a First Prize Winner!”
I was so excited and of course had to call everyone. My husband said,”Well with the way you are couponing, that will last us for 6 months” Maybe not 6 months, 3 maybe, but I appreciated compliment, so Thanks HUN! So needless to say, I will be signing up for legitimate giveaways going forward because now I realize that I can win.
