Help Provide Access To Vision Care Globally By Donating To OneSight! #HelpTheWorldSee

The following is a a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/OneSight. Opinions expressed are that of my own.

Son OneSight hand glasses

Imagine not being able to see your child or grandchild clearly for the first time. Now imagine being given a book and not being able to see the words.

According to OneSight.org, 1 in 7 people across the globe can’t get access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses. This is not just a problem in another part of the world, it could easily be a parent, brother or sister, niece or nephew, or even your own child. However this statistic can be corrected by donating to OneSight, which in turn will help give 20 million in need access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses by 2020.

Even a $1 makes a difference for the 1.1 billion without access to vision care.

OneSight.org, an organization that has been in existence for over 25 years, takes donated funds and creates community partnerships through Sustainable Vision Centers, Vision Care Clinics, all while utilizing eye care professionals, industry experts, volunteers, and partners.

ONESIGHT RICHMOND

My children happen to have 20/20 vision, but their cousins and grandparents would not be functioning at their best without the benefit of eyeglasses.

The ability to see properly is not something to be taken for granted either, they would not be able to perform at work, school, or in their daily lives without access to vision care.

Daughter OneSight hand glasses

My kids know just how important glasses are to these family members and are showing their support of OneSight and #HelpTheWorldSee by wearing “Hand Glasses”.

To learn more about this worth initiative visit onesight.org. You can also follow along for details via Twitter: @OneSightOrg, Facebook: @OneSight, and Instagram: @OneSight. To donate to OneSight #HelpTheWorldSee visit onesight.org/donate.

Do you or someone in your life wear glasses? How would  your life (or their lives) be impacted without access to vision care?

Show your support of this worthwhile cause by posting your own photo on social media with “hand glasses” and the hashtag #HelpTheWorldSee.

What a great program!! Our insurance doesn't cover much in vision, but we've been blessed by the local Lions club to provide glasses and the consultation for our son. There are so many great programs out there to help, thanks for letting people know about this one!

It's actaully not that easy to get eye care! It's not always a part of a plan which isn't fair . It's difficult when you've got kids and no coverage as well, so This is a great program to learn about!

What a great cause! This is a great reminder for me to clean out my old glasses and donate them. I have decades worth that are useless to me but might help someone else! Mitch

One sight it such an awesome program and I love that they're committed to sustainability so that kids dont worry about having glasses they need on year but not the next.

This is such a great program. Even with health insurance, my glasses and exams always cost a lot. It is nice to hear that there is a program to get people vision care that they need.

This is such a wonderful and important program. I know that even with insurance glasses and such are still very expensive. I can't imagine not being able to see correctly due to lack of access to care.
