VTech Safe & Sound Monitor and the Sick Day! Plus #VTechBaby Twitter Party!

This post is brought to you by VTech and The Motherhood. All opinions expressed about the VTech Safe & Sound Monitor are my own.

VTech Safe and Sound Monitor Package

This past week, I had 2 sick kids at home that needed to stay in bed and also have access to a humidifier. Obviously it was important to keep the door to the room closed, but I also needed to keep an eye on them both. In my bedroom I set the TV to their favorite children’s channel, tucked them in to rest, and then turned on the humidifier.

I then set up the VTech Safe & Sound Monitor so I could make sure they were taking it easy and staying in the bed.

This was a perfect opportunity to put this technology to good use since it encouraged them to stay in the room and communicate with me via the monitor. I could also ask them how they were feeling and check in to see if they needed a drink or snack while I was working in the other room.

It also showed me when my toddler decided to stand on the bed, which I quickly told him to sit down via the speaker.

VTech Safe and Sound Monitor Setup

The VTech Safe & Sound Monitor Model VM333 has a camera with full-motion video and color that pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side, tilts as many as 124 degrees up and down and also zooms up to 2x. It also includes automatic night vision, talk-back intercom, and is an expandable system that supports viewing of up to 4 total cameras from one parent unit.

Additional product features include a temperature sensor, a wall-mount bracket, rechargeable battery, as well as volume control. The system also has 1,000 feet of range. FYI, setup for this system is extremely easy.

I think this would be a great addition to a new mother’s tool kit, and would make an appreciated baby shower gift. Plus, just because they aren’t babies anymore doesn’t mean that a product like the VTech Safe & Sound Monitor can’t be utilized.

This is a monitor that can grow with a child from infancy all the way up to toddler and preschool years.

I remember using a monitor when my son was younger. We just wanted to make sure that we could hear it, if something was wrong. Love the review of this one! :)

This monitor looks awesome. My son had a seizure last year and I have been looking into getting a monitor for his room.

We have this monitor and we love it! Being able to see and hear the kids even when they are on a different floor of the house than me is huge! And even though my oldest is really too old to need a monitor now, it gives me comfort to be able to check in on him easily!

I need to get one of these for my sister she has three little ones under the age of two. This would make keep track of what's going on where so much easier on her and her husband.

like the idea of using this with older kids. I never thought to use it with an older child, but I can see how I can use it to check on my son when he's down in the family room.

Video monitors can be great. I wish they had them back in the days when my boys were young!

I have one of these, and I love it. It's so much nicer to be able to see and hear the kids than just listening and wondering what the heck is going on.
