The following is a sponsored post on behalf of Vitapod, and Moms Meet. Opinions expressed are that of my own.
I don’t know about you, but the busier the school year gets the harder it is to prep meals. As a parent I try my best to provide enough well balanced nutrition, but I could do better at breakfast and the days we grab takeout.
Read below to see how the Vitapod Machine is helping to provide complete nutrition, electrolytes and antioxidants.

My days are like, kids are fed, kids are dressed, kids are at school, kids are fed, they head to sports or piano, kids are fed and then the cycle starts all over again.
I send them to school with a water bottle and hope that they are getting what they need to perform at their best.

We can’t be perfect all the time, so when I was given an opportunity to review a Vitapod machine I was interested to see how this could help my family. To be honest, the whole concept seemed pretty cool with flavored liquid vitamins.
Plus it is neat to see how the machine operates as it pops open the pods and mixes in water.

The Vitapod startup kit comes with a machine, reusable aluminum water bottle, a filter, and a sampler pack. I was also provided 5 packages of different flavored pods to try out.

Now I will tell you that if you pick up one of these Vitapod machines, you will need some counter space to set it up. It actually encouraged me to clean my counters and purge. The water tank is removable and when you reattach it automatically starts self filtering.
If you add water to the tank as it is in place, you can press a button to initiate filtering. Filters should be replaced approximately every 6 months.

So what do I like about the Vitapod machine?
Tasty way to get daily vitamins and hydrate-
The pods contain Vitamins like A, C, D, E and may also contain Folic Acid, Magnesium, as well as Potassium. They are formulated by recognized health and science experts for more complete nutrition, electrolytes and antioxidants to advance overall health. I would suggest looking at the nutritional facts of each pod page to see the ingredients as well as vitamins, their amounts, and how they are sourced.
Most of the pods are sweetened with Steviol Glycosides (Stevia) and Erthritol (Corn derived sugar alcohol). They use natural flavors as well as vegetable and plant extracts for color.

My kids are excited to use it –
The Vitapod Machine is super kid friendly and I even put a bowl of pods on the counter so the kids could choose their flavors. The excitement that is coming from my children about this device and it’s variety of pods, is so welcome. I love how they have embraced it as part of their routine.
This is a great way to encourage them to hydrate since my oldest plays football and my daughter is a volleyball player. Not to mention we live in Florida, so we do need to drink plenty of fluids. My children make their drink at night, put it in the fridge, and then it is ready to go for the next day.

Great Flavor Options-
My oldest son likes the Lemon Infusion Tea flavor. My daughter likes the Watermelon and my youngest son has decided that his favorite flavor is the Cotton Candy (Mom likes Blueberry Pomegranate). FYI, there are currently 11 different Vitapod flavors. Once I use up our favorites I will definitely order more pods for my family.
FYI, the nutrition is for ages 4 and up. The Iced Tea+ (60mg), Sports+ (100mg), and Energy+ (200mg) pods contain caffeine and are recommended to drink in moderation if pregnant or breastfeeding. All other pods are fully pregnancy and breastfeeding safe.

Less Impact On the Environment-
According to Vitapod, each American throws away on average 346 single-use plastic bottles. Each pod uses 90% less plastic than a single-use plastic bottle and pods are recyclable. If you don’t have a recycling program in your area, they provide a bag to send them back in for free. Plus, with the provided reusable water bottle you are reducing your environmental impact.
Vitapod has also figured out how to make the plastics in the pods break down over time in case they do end up in a landfill. By 2023, they plan to make all the pods fully biodegradable.

Interesting detail to know-
The Vitapod machine cools water to the optimal temperature for hydration, allowing the body to absorb water quicker than water that’s too hot or cold. However, you have to push a button to achieve that setting and the motor will continuously run as it achieve 50-59°F.
I decided to skip the step of cooling all together. If you like really cold water like my family does, you can always add ice in your drink once it is filled. In addition, my son added ice cubes directly to the tank of the Vitapod Machine to cool it quicker (this was recommended by the manufacturer).

Heads Up! The machine retails for $349.99 but is currently on sale for $199.99. They are also offering Free Shipping on orders over $50.
