When I was asked if I was interested in reviewing Monster Truck Championship I went to my on-site XBOX One Expert for his opinion. A special thank you goes out to NACON for providing us with codes to check out the games as well as for a giveaway.
Like I mentioned, the video game expert in this house is my 14 year old, so I decided to have him test out Monster Truck Championship and give everyone an idea of what it is about, along with game play screenshots. Check out his answers below!
Tell me what the premise is of MONSTER TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP.
Monster Truck Championship is a monster truck video game that gives a feeling of being in a monster truck competing in the events.
WHAT MODES CAN YOU PLAY IN?
There are 6 different modes you can play in. They are Race, Time Trial, Drag Race, Freestyle, Destruction, and Training. There is an assortment of skills you can work on in training like backflips, wheelies, donuts, etc. or you can do free practice and work on whatever you want.
There is a quick play tab and events tab. In quick play, you can participate in Race, Time Trial, Drag Race, Freestyle, and Destruction competing against AI. In events, you are competing in tournaments consisting of multiple modes competing against AI for first place and for the most money.
WHAT ARE MY FAVORITE PARTS OF MONSTER TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP?
My favorite parts of Monster Truck Championship are how you can earn money to pay managers, specialists, and engineers to manage your career and make your truck better. Another is how you can customize the truck with paint jobs, stickers, and rim and chassis colors.
Also, you can customize your body and there is much to choose from once their unlocked. One other aspect I like is that there are sponsor offers that you can accept and earn money from by completing the challenges in events. My final favorite thing is the events tab in general. I like all the leagues and competitions you can compete in and it is really fun.
ANY KEY THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PLAYING THIS GAME?
Key things to know about this game are you can turn both the front and back wheels allowing you have more control over the vehicle. To turn the front wheels use the left joystick and to turn the back wheels use the right joystick. Also, you can play online multiplayer games and create your own session or join someone else’s.
I also wanted to mention that in-game money is a key part of the game. You need it to get into events, upgrade your car, and pay your team. It can be earned by playing events.
WHO DO YOU THINK WOULD ENJOY MONSTER TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP?
I think that anyone that plays race car video games, monster truck video games, or goes to monster truck rallies in real life would like it. The controls are similar to many other racing games and Monster Truck Champion is a fun way to spend time.

In this video game you take the wheel of one of 16 vehicles and enter five types of event. In these championships, you will compete in 25 stadiums and circuits in various cities across the United States.
