We have on our Spooky Minnie Ears because our family received an invitation to the Media Family Night for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Thank you to Disney Parks for hosting our family at this seasonal attraction in order for us to share details.
We were so excited to have an opportunity to visit Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year, because this was actually our first time attending this family friendly event.

Now as a family we usually don’t have expectations when we visit the Magic Kingdom, we just go with the flow (except this time my daughter really went with the goal of getting a character autograph).
Now that we have attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, I feel like to get the full effect families should just pace themseves by doing a little bit of everything. Meaning, you will have a good time if you take time to enjoy the decorations, do a little trick or treating, visit a few rides, watch the fireworks, parade, and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.

So after out trip, here is What To Expect at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
Trick-or-Treating Throughout the Park –
Feel free to dress up, just be sure to read the guidelines on what is appropriate. When you arrive, you will receive a wrist band and once in the park you will head off to the right to pick up a Trick or Treat bag. Throughout Magic Kingdom there will be inflatables at candy spots and the areas are also marked on the event flyer.
I would suggest getting there early and hitting maybe 3 or 4 locations, we got plenty of candy.

NEW Fireworks Spectacular –
Look for this magnificent display of fireworks and lights to go off around 10:15 pm. FYI, keep your eye on Cinderella Castle to see it transformed into various scenes featuring Disney Characters and Villains.
🎃 We had an amazing time Pete! Not only did we enjoy all of the decorations & Trick or Treating, but the Castle and the Fireworks at the Not So Spooky Spectacular were beautiful! (AD) #NotSoScary #LetsBooThis #MickeysNotSoScaryHalloweenParty pic.twitter.com/dbYhl41Hm6

In addition, there is a Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with dazzling views of the NEW Fireworks Spectacular.
Want to skip the additions but still get the themed treats? We got enjoyed Halloween Krispy Treats, and you can check out my Instagram Stories for Not So Scary Highlights to see the Pumpkin and Candy Corn Dessert.

Also look for the Amuck, Amuck, Amuck Cupcake at the Main Street Bakery, Sally and Jack Push Pops at the Snack Carts near Cinderella Castle, as well as Constance’s For Better Or Worse Wedding Cake at the Liberty Square Popcorn Cart.
We went with our usual and picked up chicken tenders and a burger at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, but we were entertained with the Disney Descendance Party (look for it from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am).

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade –
Beginning in Frontierland, look for this Parade at 9:15 pm and 11:15 pm. I am sharing few scenes from the Parade in the Youtube video below, however I didn’t want to give away any spoilers of the villains.
BEWARE, the song will be stuck in your head from now on!
Shopping for Halloween Merchandise-
We headed to a shops to check out the Halloween themed merchandise. As big pin collectors and traders, this is how we souvenir our trips.
If pins aren’t your thing, you can also find Halloween Themed Minnie Ears, Clothing, as well as Candy Buckets.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular –
See the many Disney Villains come together for an amazing show. Lead by the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus”, not only do you get to hear I Put a Spell on You but there is a very cool performance of Dr. Facilier’s Friends On The Otherside from “Princess and the Frog” and Oogie Boogie’s Song from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
