Now that summer is here, I am relaxing a bit on the usual time limits set forth for technology.

This means, I may have a kiddo on a tablet, another looking at educational sites, or my oldest playing Fortnite. With all 3 children wanting to be on video games or apps, the noise level is about to hit an all time high.

Summer is definitely perfect timing for my 13 year old to receive a Turtle Beach Recon 70 gaming headset.

After trying out the Recon 70 Gaming Headset, my teen had nothing but positive things to say.

This Turtle Beach product is the successor to the #1 selling wired headset called the Recon 50. Plus, it is designed to be compatible with Nintendo Switch^™, Xbox One, and PS4^™.

My son is now taking Battle Royale on the Xbox One to the next level with high quality gaming audio.

So without further delay here is why my Teen’s review of the Turtle Beach Recon 70 Gaming Headset!

Lightweight and Comfortable-

Based on his last headset, he likes that this gaming headset doesn’t feel like it is falling off. The soft lightweight foam headphones are snug up to his ears keeping out external noises. Plus, he can mute the TV and experience surround sound from the Xbox One.

The Microphone-

He explained, “Flipping the mic up mutes it and flipping it down turns it back on again.” This has worked out when we have conversations or he needs to interact in the game. He played his cousin on the Xbox and was able to communicate clearly through the mic.

It is compatible with other devices in our home-

The design we received was created for a PS4, but it also compatible with our Xbox One because a 3.5mm connection. (My son expected to get a green headset, but said, “I really like the white and blue color.”) He also likes that it works on phones just in case he needs to move game play to another room.

Easy To Store-

My son also showed how the headphones can be turned inward to lay flat making them easier to store. He shared, “Since these also work with my laptop, I can fit them easier into my backpack.”
