EXCLUSIVE: What To Expect In Season 6 of Freeform BABY DADDY!

Adults out there, are you a huge fan of the Freeform Series “Baby Daddy”? If so, you will want to read on for details about Season 6 and the premiere episode “To Elle and Back”.

While out in Los Angeles, I got an opportunity to watch an advanced screening of Freeform’s “Baby Daddy” as well as attend an exclusive Q &A with the cast, Chelsea Kane (“Riley Perrin”), Tahj Mowry (“Tucker Dobbs”) and Derek Theler (“Danny Wheeler”). See what they had to say below:

The cast was asked, What can we expect besides pregnancy in season 6?

Chelsea Kane shared, “…it’s a big season for us. For anyone that’s been sticking with us these last one hundred episodes. (a lot of story lines from the pilot are)… really wrapping up this season in such a beautiful way. So, I think the fans will enjoy checking it out.”

Tahj Mowry then explained, “I think we kind of dive a little bit deeper into each character. For Tucker, specifically, we find out a little bit more about him and him being in a different space mentally than he normally is. He’s not his upbeat self.”

Derek Theler revealed, “Danny is trying to handle his pregnant girlfriend, which is challenge enough for most people and especially Danny. But then Ben is still searching for his love that he happened to cross at the end of the last season.”

Chelsea then elaborates, “Brad goes to jail and I’m defending him. That’s also a big story line for Riley this year, not only is she hormonal and trying to hide her pregnancy, which is a hot button issue. She is worried that once her boss finds out that she is pregnant that she’s just gonna look like one giant case of maternity leave.”

She continues, “So, she’s trying to hide her pregnancy and on top of defending Mrs. Wheeler’s husband in court. She’s kind of an emotional train wreck for most of the season.”

Here are a few fun facts shared as well!

Chelsea wore a weighted pregnancy suit for her role in Season 6. At the end it weighed 15 pounds.
The babies on the show are twins and at one point they had a 13 week old on set.
Improv scenes are included in the show and especially look for ones with Melissa Peterman (Apparently she has known to kiss random extras).
The series will reach it’s 100th episode this season.
Freeform Baby Daddy won the People’s Choice Award for favorite cable TV comedy!

After our Q & A session, we attended a baby shower themed lunch as well as sat with a member of the cast and chatted while we dined.

My group happened to sit with Derek Theler and it was really nice to visit with him on a more personal level.

After we finished our meal, were then divided up into teams and commenced in a game of Baby Charades.

We were broken up in 3 groups including Team Chelsea, Team Tahj, and Team Derek. I happen to be on Derek’s team, and check out how he did in the video below.

Baby Charades was definitely a fun way to end this luncheon, and FYI Team Tahj won.
