Cookies and Cream Popcorn With Chocolate Wheels!

A special thank you goes out to Fox Home Ent Insiders for providing my family a DVD as well as a party pack to help get our event going. We had a lot of fun with the Cookies and Cream Popcorn With Chocolate Wheels!

ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE ROAD CHIP is out on Blu-ray™ and DVD plus Digital HD, and to celebrate my family had a #FamilyRoadChip weekend.

Not only did I make my family a fun treat to snack on while we watched the DVD, but we also got to play with a plush Alvin.

In addition, the kiddos got set up with essentials for heading out on a road trip, like a backpack for each of the kiddos as well as headphones, luggage tags, and stickers to keep them busy.

For our refreshments, I was inspired by the theme of cars and airplanes to turn mini Oreos into wheels. After seeing the dust from the cookies, I decided to turn the popcorn into a cookies and cream flavor.

You will be happy to know Cookies and Cream Popcorn With Chocolate Wheels is easy to make and would make an excellent party food at a birthday celebration.

To recreate Cookies and Cream Popcorn With Chocolate Wheels, you will need the following:

1 Box of Mini Oreos

1 Package of Mini Chocolate Chips

White Decorating Icing

6 Cups of Warm Popcorn

Directions:

In advance, make your wheels. I did this by simply applying a dot of white icing in the middle of a mini Oreo cookie.

I then put a mini chocolate chip in the center and pressed the point down. I made about 27 of these for 3 servings.

I then put 9 cookies in the food processor to make a powder. After that, I popped the popcorn and once I moved it to a resealable bowl (minus any kernels) I added the powder, placed the top on, and shook the container.

This coated it all and it was then ready to go into special popcorn containers. I then topped each with the Chocolate Wheels and it was FESTIVE and YUMMY!

Some of the highlights of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore’s adventure include them embarking on a wild road trip to Miami, all while trying to avoid taking on a new bullying big brother. During their travels to Florida, they end up causing all kinds of mischief on an airplane which attracts the unwanted attention of a goofy air martial.

Then they find themselves in New Orleans and where they incite a dance and sing along in the streets. Eventually they make it down south and meet up with Dave and Chippettes, however they then have to correct a few of their mistakes (Mostly Alvin’s).
