In the past few weeks, I have shopped, donated, and earned cash all through the same convenient manner. Want to know more and also receive $5? Details are below!
A special thank you goes out to Giving Assistant for sponsoring this post today and showing me an easy way to shop, earn, and donate.
Recently I was introduced to a program called the Giving Assistant. This simple way to shop, not only finds great offers and coupon codes at popular online stores, but also makes donations to charities on your behalf once you complete your purchases!
If you head over to the front page of the site, you will see stores like Staples, Kohl’s and Vera Bradley with coupon codes and cash back percentages of 5%, 7%, 8% plus more. For these stores you get to decide where your cash back goes – you can KEEP IT, SPLIT IT, or DONATE IT. (Some exclusions do apply see more details below).
Plus right now, if you sign up through my referral link you will receive $5 automatically. In addition, if you do the same for others they will get the $5 and you will also receive the same once they complete their first purchase.
To get started with this innovative shopping tool, first visit my link here>>> Giving Assistant and either login via Facebook or fill in your email address. If for some reason you don’t see the login, try another browser like Internet Explorer.
Then head to your profile and fill out your preference. From there you can choose your charity, what percentage of the funds you would like them to receive, and how you would like to receive those funds and what method.
I just set mine to 50/50 and chose Feeding America of Tampa Bay to test it out. I was then to start shopping for items that I already use and for clothing essentials for my kiddos.
First stop was to the Amazon Coupon Codes and Deals. I happen to purchase my kiddos school shoes from there as well as a few of my skin products and certain home cleaning supplies.
For that particular transaction I wasn’t able to take advantage of any discounts, but Giving Assistant let me know about an $10 off Offer for Amazon Prime.
Of course I shopped around before I bought my items and found that one of my beauty products was cheaper at Walmart.
I then went ahead and check out at Amazon. FYI, Amazon happens to be one of those exclusions and has it set automatically to donate 100% of the 2% Cash Back to the non profit organization of your choice.
Once the items started to ship, I receive emails from Giving Assistant with donation notices. It was so cool to see that my everyday spending was already making a difference.
As for the item that was cheaper at Walmart, I also made that purchase through the Giving Assistant.
As you can see, the Walmart Coupon Codes and Deals are listed as well.
Now this is also an exclusion because Walmart continually makes donations independently throughout the year, so they give 100% of their Cash Back to you which is currently 4%.
I ended up earning $.71 from my purchase of an everyday beauty product. FYI, if you do not see your cash back in a reasonable time frame, feel free to reach out to customer service, and they will make the adjustment.
As you can see by the screen shot below, I have already earned $2.26 from 2 purchases and $1.55 had gone to Feeding America Tampa Bay and $.71 will eventually be coming to me once I reach the threshold of over $5.00.
Giving Assistant makes it easy to shop, earn cash back, and also help out your community!
Are you currently looking to donate to local organizations? How do you feel about earning cash back on EVERYDAY PURCHASES?
