“As a member of the LeapFrog Mom Squad Ambassador program, I receive products, promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see it. However, any opinions expressed by me about the LeapPad Platinum With Imagicards are honest and reflect my actual experience.”

Imagine being a child seeing your favorite cartoon character come to life right before your eyes. Then imagine being a parent seeing your child having fun and learning at the same time.

With Leap Frog’s LeapPad Platinum paired with Imagicards you get to experience both!

LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum Setup

To give you a little background on our experience with LeapFrog products, my family actually owns an original LeapPad and not too long ago my youngest (a 3 year old) rediscovered it. Considering how long we have had it and the abuse my 2 older kiddos have put it through, it still works great.

It does have a smaller screen and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of an actual tablet, so my 9 year old son and almost 7 year old daughter prefer to use our other devices.

Well they definitely took an interest in the Leap Frog’s LeapPad Platinum. With plenty of upgrades including a 6 inch screen, rechargeable batteries, and WiFi, they have been interacting with this device and exploring the new features.

It truly is a great boredom buster during a rainy day, it has convenient to use apps for education, and is perfect for a road trip, since it is simple to silence through the use of volume control or headphones. Plus while in WiFi, I can easily make changes or order products directly from LeapFrog.

In regards to usage, my daughter has been playing with the drawing and photo functions. I have watched her expressing a creative side by painting and creating mash-ups with her face and animals. Plus, she has rediscovered her previous favorite apps from the old LeapPad, since I was able to add them to this new product.

She is also learning new math at school, so I downloaded a game called the Math-errific Magic Show to help reinforce this information.

Imagicard sets for LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum

Of course for my family, the neatest aspect of this device is the LeapSearch and the Imagicards.

With access to WIFI, all 3 kiddos have been using the LeapSearch and watching age appropriate videos about drawing, seeing their favorite characters from Disney and Sesame Street in action, and they can even watch segments on animals, music, sports, and more.

Paw Patrol LeapPad Imagicards

What is truly awesome about this technology, is its ability to be paired with the LeapFrog Imagicards. When prompted in the app, my kids simply align a character card in front of the screen which in turn activates it within the game. FYI, Imagicard Sets are sold separately from the LeapPad Platinum.

My youngest figured out how to do this pretty quickly and has primarily been playing the PAW Patrol game about numbers (he is a big fan). However as he matures, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Letter Factory Adventures will become more relevant.

Check out my Little Guy’s excitement when he brings Marshall to life:

He is playing with the #PawPatrol #Imagicard this morning on the #LeapPad Platinum. I love how independently he can play with this, and he is only 3. Like he said, “I DID IT!”. @leapfrogofficial #LeapFrogMomSquad #LeapFrog #education #Learning #educational #math #learn #toys #Sponsored

I love the fact that this one has a rechargeable battery. We were going through batteries like crazy with the LeapPads 1 and 2!
