Lucky Scavenger hunt

Looking to do something fun with preschoolers and elementary aged children on St. Patrick’s Day?

The Lucky Scavenger Hunt will not only get your children up and moving, but will also have them using problem solving and numerical skills.

Lucky Scavenger hunt supplies

Here is what is needed to recreate this St. Patrick’s Day Craft  activity:

– 2 to 4 pieces of green construction paper

– Scissors

– Pencil

– Ruler

– Marker

–  A prize (I found these gold coin chocolates at Walgreens for around a $1.00 each)

Lucky Scavenger Hunt Clovers

To get started, first cut out a total of 10 – 4 Leaf Clovers from green construction paper.

I made one and then used it as a template to make the others.

Next, write the numbers 1-10 on the clovers.

Finally hide the clovers throughout your home.

After this, send your child/ children out on a hunt. Once they find all the clovers, have them place them in numerical order.

You or siblings can then take turns hiding them over and over again.

This activity is A LOT of fun and when you are finished playing, the kids get a prize.

My kids really appreciated their YUMMY reward!

This really does sound like fun especially since you can either do it indoors if the weather is bad or outdoors if it is dry and sunny!

This looks really fun and fairly easy to coordinate. I think my son would love it. He likes searching and numbers are so fun for him still!

This looks like fun. My daughter is still too young for it but my nieces would love it. I'll have to share with my sister.

I love this. Of course I love anything having to do with St. Patrick's Day and March being Irish American Heritage Month.
