Kids at Lowe's Pizza Truck Toy Story

We love to take the kiddos up to Lowe’s for the FREE  Build and Grow events because both my older kids love it, and my husband and I enjoy seeing them have a good time.

I have to admit that it has been a while since we have gone because the kids had soccer games at the end of the school year, and I was still trying to get in a good routine with the baby.  However now that summer is well on its way, and little man is almost a year (Can you believe it?) we managed to make it back up to an event the weekend of July 13th.

Kids with their Dad at the Lowe's Buld and Grow

At this event, they were building the Pizza Planet Delivery Truck from Toy Story.  The timing worked out great since hubby went up in advance to get them started, and I showed up about 10 minutes later with a camera and the baby in tow. They were well on their way to building their trucks and bonding with their Dad.

They had a blast, and Little man and I watched from the sidelines as they built. He didn’t seem to mind that he was stuck in the cart though, he was busy watching the contractors come in. Plus, he took any opportunity he could to flirt with little girls and any ladies walking by. 🙂
The Lowe’s Build and Grow is a free event which normally recurs every other Saturday and sometimes on Sunday.

For details and to register for the next upcoming event, visit Lowe’s Build and Grow.

Participation is limited, so don’t delay in registering.  And make sure you get there early! The first 50 kids to register and be present, will receive a kit, aprons and goggles.

Do you go to these events with your family?

I hope we can catch the next one!

I love that Lowe's offers workshops for kids. I always forget about them. Looks like your kids had a great time.

I used to take my kids to these when they were younger. We made some neat stuff. I found several of the items this weekend while cleaning out the closet!

This is another great DIY project and I love that it directly involves the kids. It teaches them to use their imaginations and to use problem solving skills to get things accomplished.
