Here is an easy trail mix made with half of what I call “good for you” ingredients, and the other half of “goodies” ingredients.
Since I have all three kiddos home for summer and I am already hearing, “May I have a snack?” constantly, I decided that I needed something to fill their bellies up for at least a little while. I had all of these ingredients on hand from previous sales or baking, so I threw them all together.
My son came up with the name Summer Vacation Trail Mix by the way.
This is how I made it, you can always double or triple the ingredients depending upon if you are making it for a party, or just want to bag it in advance.
Summer Vacation Trail Mix
1/2 Cup of Dark Chocolate M&Ms
1/2 Cup of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup of Salted Peanuts
2 Cups of Toasted O’s (Cheerios)
Mix and serve. I actually put mine in a dispenser so the kids could get it out themselves.
