Fun Times at Target’s Dr. Seuss Storytime of “The Lorax”! Lots of Books Read, Goody Bags, and Coupons!

We got an opportunity this past Saturday to attend the Dr. Seuss Reading Time of “The Lorax” at our local Target Store.  This was a FREE nationwide event that is part of the NEA’s Read Across America Program and occurs annually. In addition, it also included readings of other Dr. Seuss Books.

The kids had a great time listening to various Target employees read the stories.  They listened very intently to each book including Green Eggs and Ham, Go Dog Go, and many more.

Plus, they were provided a nice recyclable goody bag that had a juice box, fruit snacks, chicadees (like goldfish crackers), stickers, a Lorax mustache, crayons, coloring page and coupons including a $2.00 off coupon for $10 or more Dr. Seuss book. I went ahead and bought the kids “The Lorax” with the coupon since the book was only $8.00.

Since I now know about this event, I will definitely be looking to attend it with the kids next year.
