My Daughter’s First Ballet Recital!

My daughter had her very First Ballet Recital this past Saturday, and her father and I are extremely proud of her performance on and off the stage. I can’t believe that she actually stayed still long enough for me to fix her hair and put on some makeup for the event. FYI, the FREE Sample of Axe Hold + Touch really came in handy for slicking her hair back. When my daughter went on the stage, I could feel the tears start to well in my eyes just like they did the first time I took her to class, but her smile and the fact that she was really enjoying herself instantly dried them up, and all I could do was laugh. I am amazed at how she maintained herself, since she just turned 3. Her only issue was that she wanted to go back out and perform again, and at this point she began acting like a little Diva. (I think she was ready for a nap as well)

We made this a family event, and had both sets of grandparents, one of her aunts, and of course big brother. My parents brought her an ornament with Ballet Shoes to commemorate the event, and my sister in law brought her flowers. Afterward we had lunch together as a family, and both kids really enjoyed themselves.

I’m definitely looking forward to doing this again next year!
