As part of the Bargain Network Back To School Giveaway Event Hallmark sent me products from their Back-to-School Confidence Care Package to review here on At Home Moma.
The items I received included:
50 Ways to Add a Little Love to Lunchtime
Recordable Storybook
My kids have really enjoyed the Bug ‘Em and the Recordable Story Book.
My daughter loves to stick toys and papers into coin purses and small boxes, so she has gotten a kick out of zipping and unzipping the Bug ‘Em and placing things inside of it. I think as a parent, this would be a great place to put rewards like candy, a note, or gift cards/ spending money for good behavior or good grades at school.
As for the Recordable Story Book, my kids LOVE this. They have recorded their own voices on it, and as you can see by my son’s expression, he thought it was neat that Moma recorded a story for him.
Personally, I wrote notes on napkins and placed them in my son’s lunch box last year. I would write that Moma and Daddy loved him or I would simply put a smiley face on the napkin. I was planning on doing it again this year, so I can’t wait to put the Lunch Box Notes for Kids in his lunch box. Each note is a little different, and it will add a little variety.
In regards to the cards, I will hold onto to them until my kids are a little older since they are more appropriate for a slightly older child. However, I know that I like to get special cards, so I’m sure kids would appreciate it as well.
While your kids are away at school what little things do you do to show that you care? Do you have any special traditions during the school year? Feel free to leave your comments below.
