Build A Dream Playhouses approached me recently to see if I would be interested in reviewing their product here on At Home Moma. I had seen something similar to this in the mall and online, and thought this would be neat for our family check out. Plus since it has been either hot or rainy lately, I figured this would be a great indoor activity.
Build a Dream Playhouses are cardboard playhouses that are able to be colored, painted, decorated, and customized to each child’s imagination. The corrugated cardboard is extremely durable and safe for children. Each and every product is tested to conform to the standards of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). The products are environmentally friendly and are manufactured from 80% recycled materials that result in an end product that is 100% recyclable. The distribution center is located only 38 miles away from the manufacturer, which drastically reduces the fuel consumption required to ship the products. Source buildadreamplayhouses.com
I was given the option to choose from a variety of Playhouses including The Snack Shack, Cosmic Cruiser, Imagine Wagon, Dream Machine, Pop N’ Play Kitchen, and Pop N’ Play Castle. Visit Children’s Playhouses for more details.
I choose the Pop N’ Play Castle since my daughter is into princesses, and I knew my son would get a kick out of crawling through the doors that open.
The Castle is a pretty good size, and was really simple to assemble. All I had to do was pull it out of the box and pop out the various parts to make it form it’s shape. And it is just as easy to pull apart, which is really convenient for us since we have our home listed for sale. When someone wants to see the house, I just flatten the castle and stick it behind a large armoire in the kid’s playroom.
I did want to mention that overall the castle it is pretty sturdy, but since it is cardboard it can get bent easily at corners and at end pieces. And, when I opened mine, it was slightly bent at one of the corners. However, I didn’t worry about it too much because I knew the kids would probably bend a few places in time anyway.
