When I made up my bridal registry almost 7 years ago, one of the items I just had to have was a Waffle Maker. It had been a tradition in my home as a child that on Saturdays, my parents would get up and make us big breakfasts that usually included eggs, bacon, and waffles. My dad even threw pecans into the batter, which was delicious.
I wanted to continue this tradition in my own home and actually was brought to tears, when at my bridal shower I opened up the box with the Cuisinart Waffle Maker, and told the story of why I wanted one so bad.

Well 6 years later, right before my move, the Waffle Maker finally started to fall apart as one screw fell out. I did bring it with me, but as I pulled it out of the box to set it up, the other screw gave way.

Plus, here is the Waffle recipe I use (which has evolved over time from one I found in a Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook)
At Home Moma’s Waffles
1 Egg (beat first before you add the rest)
1 Cup of Whole Wheat Flour (any flour will work)
3/4 Cup of Milk
3 Tablespoons of Sugar
3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
Directions: Mix all this together and use in your waffle maker.
(Pecans are optional, I also use this recipe for pancakes)
I have no clue what the nutritional value is, but they sure do taste good!
