Look who I got to meet! The California Dancing Raisin!
While I was at BlogHer’11 in San Diego, CA I was given the opportunity to attend a luncheon hosted by the California Raisin Marketing Board. At the event, I got to try out some awesome dishes which included raisins as one of the main ingredients. Some of the dishes I sampled were chicken salad, an orzo salad, quinoa dish, and the highlight was brownies made with pureed raisins. (They were delicious!!!)

What was great about this event is they educated us on the nutritional value of raisins, introduced us to some great recipes, and also made us aware of a contest that they are currently running.
