Also, be sure to also pick up your own Riunite Lambrusco. I got to sample a 4 mini- pack and this wine has an amazing flavor. According to Riunite, Lambrusco pairs well with pasta, pizza, and with picnic foods like burgers, barbecue and chili.
For a little background on Lambrusco, these red grapes are from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The wine created by this expresses rich red fruit aromas and flavors with a slightly sweet character.
I enjoyed my beverage with a spicy cheese and it was a perfect compliment. It was also paired with a Breaded Chicken Mozzarella Dish and the 2 together had a great flavor.
