When you have more than one child, it can be difficult to give each one of them all the individual attention they want with Mom.
However, a couple of the ways that I have tried to give them their own time, is through reading, snuggling, or just visiting with them at the dinner table first thing in the morning. Other times, I take them off by themselves while my husband or family watches the other 2.
Recently, I took my daughter out for some Mommy and Me Time at The Mall at University Town Center UTC in Sarasota.
We choose this spot because she had been wanting to check it out, and it also has a kid friendly play zone.
When we arrived at the University Town Center UTC mall, we immediately went over to check out the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Kids Area.
She had a great time crawling under, climbing over, and exploring all of the medical and tropical themed items.
We then made a pit stop at the Family Bathroom next to play area. After that, we stopped and grabbed a pretzel and drink at Auntie Anne’s. It was yummy.
When we were finished with our snack, we walked the mall to look at the lighting changes. The sky lights and floors were illuminated with beautiful colors and she had a great time exploring. I was happy for us to get some exercise.
Once we walked the entire floor plan, we headed back to Gymboree to see what seasonal kids clothing they had. They happened to be running a 40% off store wide sale.
Of course, I was immediately drawn to an owl sweater dress, and my daughter was immediately drawn to pink boots and a unicorn ear head band.
After some compromise we ended up with the dress, the head band, and additional winter coordinating items.
At this point it was getting late and time for us to head home. However, we took a quick stop to make a wish at the fountains, and also watched the colorful light display. It was a gorgeous scene.

This was such a nice time for us, and I am happy that we got to spend good quality alone time together.
